From the dark rainy skies of Vancouver Canada, rises an irreverent force of nature in the form of Fluffy Starr. She rides in on her pink and gold cartoon skull emblazoned spaceship, unleashing her brand of Sci-Fi Rocktronica onto the world. Fluffy sees the future. A future with tall silver skyscrapers and colorful galaxy traversing vehicles. And music that is gorgeously organic and synthetic. Dark and light. Cold, yet emotional. Music that is real, and reflects our time. After very quick solo artist success online at places such as MP3.com, landing in the overall Top 40 at number 12, out of millions of songs, a loyal fanbase started to form, and continues to grow each day. It was at that time, collaborators Jim “The Jimbot“ Edwards (guitars, machines) and Paule Martone (synth, bass) jumped onboard as co-pilots, and the music evolved further. Soon, the live shows began, unleashing a massive explosion of physical and sonic energy. Then the time was right, and Fluffy and the boys took to the studio to create and produce the debut Fluffy Starr CD. Although garnering the interest of several high profile producers and labels, Fluffy is still holding out for the best offer in the future. Fluffy’s voice can also be heard on the debut release of Celldweller (tracks: “Frozen”, “Stars Of Orion” and “Welcome To The End”) which has been featured on several major blockbuster movies, television and soundtracks. She has also fluffyfied Australia’s Dead Inside The Chrysalis (track: “Release Your Freak” on the album “Humanoid Expansion Pack”) which has been featured on Australia’s very popular radio program “The Triple J Show”. Fluffy Starr’s debut CD “Come On!” needs to be heard to be believed. It’s a sonic assault of futuristic Electronic Rock, with thick gritty textures and icy overtones, and emotional vocals, blending the sensibilities of the singers of yesterday with something that is only Fluffy Starr. The future is now. And Fluffy Starr is here. -
