FLUMMIは、リリック的にはミニマル。１行か２行でひとつのトラック全体のメッセージを織りなす。とてもエモーショナルなものから (“People are happy, but I am so gladly alone, that’s all right, that’s ok”)、 “SOS Electric Sex, tell me what to do, tell where you are”みたいな殺し文句や、説明書のドラマチックな朗読まで (Manual Mode)、何でもあり。
バンドフォーメーションの特徴は、ほとんどの場合、自分たちで歌うのではなく、シンプルかつソフトなボーカルをスタジオで事前に作りこみ、その人工的に作った声をライブで使うこと。プレイバック（口パク）で歌う通常のやり方が、ついに逆になった。
２００８年初め、FLUMMIは その聖歌ともいえる 「S.O.S. Electric Sex」を レーベルMajor Records (Ladytron, IAMX)からリリース。 FLUMMIはドイツ、アメリカ、日本で多くのファンを獲得。 （２００８年は、Myspaceにて180.000を超えるページビュー数を達成、合計47.000人のファンを獲得。）
並行して、リミクサーとしても才能を発揮。以下の通り:
