FLUTATIOUS photos
FLUTATIOUS came together after an inspiring trip to the Isle of Skye. The scenery and relaxed vibe inspired Michelle, Bill, Andy and Stella to put a new band together. Malcolm came in on drums and then the band met the talented Mr Williams and were immediately knocked out with his jazzy vibes. 2008 saw the band finish their self-produced first album which has been selling out at every gig and was named as ‘demo of the week’ on Celtic Music Radio as well as receiving countless plays here and abroad on internet stations. The band also had the pleasure of playing Small World, Eden, Cornbury, Hawkfest, Solfest and Weyfest (to name but a few) and are playing to ever increasing audiences in their native northwest London. The band members are: MICHELLE DEVONSHIRE...classically trained flautist. BILL FORWELL...untrained upside down bass guitarist. STELLA FERGUSON...violin player extraordinaire ANDY FAULKNER...Mr. subtle guitar MALCOLM BAILEY...bangs pots and pans and skins and things GERALD WILLIAMS...Mr. jazz piano, a strange combination. This causes for many a discussion on the refinements of music. Is there a right way to play or a wrong way to play? FLUTATIOUS do both at the same time. Soaring melodic flute accompanied by fiddle and groovy beats. They are gaining much interest from folk record labels with their unique sound and enjoyed taking their music to a new dimension playing London club Planet Angel. Flutatious are currently writing new material and are excited about recording their second album. The band would like to thank everyone who danced and contributed to such an amazing year. It has been said that 'Flutatious are one of the bands dragging folk into the 21st century...'. We just hope you enjoy the sound.

" ...next the real music begins. It's from “FLUTATIOUS” and the track is called “Spacechick”, Flutatious are one of those bands that when you hear the demo that's come through the post you get a tingle shooting up your spine and you know you have to book them. They will go down so well on the Drystone, wait until you hear what they've done with a brief snippet of Faure's “Pavane” "

"...I can tell you by far that this is my number 1 instrumental UK album of the year bar none; a brilliant piece of research, muscianship and aura."

£leTriKa sounds completely different from any Metal band you have ever heard. The Brazilian rhythms and the Portuguese language added to the songs makes its style unique, giving birth to a new kind of Metal. If you are really looking for something new about Metal, you should check £leTriKa out!
A bit of advance notice - MondayMonday proudly presents Rún and Steven Finn and more at The Wilmington Arms, Clerkenwell on Monday 7th December
Rún collect and arrange old folk songs written in the ancient language of Erin. So far, thanks to Nora from Donegal, they have a nice wee collection of well-known ditties and are now adding to their repertoire with some unusual old forgotten songs from the province of Ulster. Rún are five fantastic lassies who perform four-part vocal arrangements of old Gaelic songs like ’An Cailín Rua’ (the red-haired girl), ’Casadh an tSúgain’ (twisting the hayrope) and ’Bo Na Leath Adhairce’ (the one-horned cow). Rún is the Gaelic word for ’secret, wish or love’ (cf. rune). See http://www.myspace.com/runceol ..
Steven Finn’s ears were filled with the music of Count Basie, Benny Goodman, Johnny Cash and old time country music. Aged 15 he began teaching himself the guitar, learning songs like Leadbelly’s ‘Bourgeois Blues’ and Charlie Daniels’ ‘The devil went down to Georgia’. On hearing Bob Dylan songs Finn started to write his own words and in doing so found a lifelong passion for Jazz and Folk Blues, a getaway car he could drive. See http://www.myspace.com/stevenfinn for more details
Thank you so much for your friendship! If you know anyone who is at a place in their lives that could benefit from my book "SOUL SHIFT", please send them my way. Have a wonderful weekend!

While he loved his father, Mark followed a more conventional path in pursuit of mainstream success—until the wrenching death of his youngest son. This unexpected tragedy plunges Mark into the spiritual world of psychics and mediums in a frantic attempt to communicate with the dead. His defenses and pragmatic mindset begin to fade as he remembers premonitions on the day of his son’s death. He consults a number of well-known mediums and is struck by the remarkably accurate information their readings provide. Mark first meets with Allison Dubois, the subject of NBC’s hit show Medium, and later participates in a single-blind lab experiment with medium Laurie Campbell, filmed for a Discovery Channel feature. He then enters a new dimension of personal paranormal experience, as his own psychic awareness begins to unfold. This dramatic story of a father’s unbearable loss and his discovery of life after death offers hope to the bereaved and compelling evidence that death may not be the end.
