Flying's music was described by English-as-a-second-language students in Taiwan as "dreamy, melodious, melancholy, frivolous, elaborate, and amorous." Flying has played with Deerhoof, Lavender Diamond, Pit er Pat, Dirty Projectors, among others, and recorded Faces of the Night at the Key Club with Bill Skibbe and Jessica Ruffins.

hello flying. i like your music. i saw you play in michigan this past weekend, and i really enjoyed it. i had never heard your music before, and was really impressed. it was a lot of fun and i bobbed my head back and forth to your rhythms. i hope the rest of your tour with EDS and Deerhoof goes well, as i'm sure it will. thanks again for playing, come back to michigan again.
