B52s go to the Red Light District for ice cream. Aerosmith shows up and eats their cherry.
Jean flying solo is Tori Amos meets Radiohead. What could be better?
"Jean Mazzei's album [Breathing Under Water] is a testament to singer-songwriters writers who don’t need to stay stuck in the mold of indie, acoustic folk songs. She has taken relatively sensitive songs to a new place..." Gilli Moon, Songsalive!
FV's Friend of the Month-May
Patrick
** Well friends, my obvious choice for May is Patrick!!! He has been so insightful and helpful not only on giving me information on places to have gigs at in specific areas, but also has given me some ideas as to a singer/songwriter to play while I do a gig. Patrick has always been very helpful when I ask for information. Thank you Patrick! You deserve to be May's Friend of the Month!!
We don't want ANYONE to feel left out of being FV's Friend of the Month. How do you get to be FV's Friend of the Month? It is easy-play one of our songs on your page for a while, put up the FV picture and/or logo on your page, refer your friends, buy CD's.....but we need to hear from you as to what you are doing so we can give everyone the recognition for what they are doing. If you want more information on how to be our Friend of the Month, we really want to hear from you and if you feel you should be a Friend of the Month, just let us know why and who knows-you just might be!! But we need and want to hear from you! If you want the FV logo or anything else to put on your page, let us know!! We will make sure we get it to you!! We love you all!!!
An 80s' retro sound with a fresh twist. B52s meets Aerosmith.

"Face of A Nation is a soulful album with a funky
undertone that makes you glad you picked up this
cd.
Jean's voice is a sleek sultry sound that is pure
listening pleasure, accompanied by the ideal
instrumental groovy. Making Face Of A Nation a
must have for your cd collection.
My favorite tracks on this cd are Long Road To
Memphis and Kinda Like U although I didn't find a
track on this cd I didn't like. These two songs just
happen to speak to me. You will find while listening
to Face Of A Nation that the album has a pure
ambiance about it that flows from one song to the
next.
Leaving you eager for your next taste of what
Flying Venus has to offer!"
