Sounds Like
The MUTHA’ of 60’s-70’s rare groove...Austin's premiere purveyors of righteous rhythms . . . DYNAMITE soul, SUPERBAD funk . . . 100% guaranteed to put the THUMP in your HUMPDAY . . . groovalicious sound that runs like a '72 Eldorado on high octane ! ! !
Rooted heavily in the soul-jazz/raw funk sound of the late 60’s and early 70’s, FLYJACK is charged by a four-piece horn section, a crack rhythm section, and twin lead vocals. Hailing from Austin, Texas, the group has created international waves since forming only a year ago. Their deep-funk single "Black Water Gold" has been featured on the tastemaking Craig Charles Funk & Soul Show on the BBC, and is gaining traction in the U.S. Recently, FLYJACK peformed at the ASPEN-SNOWMASS JAZZ FESTIVAL with Widespread Panic and the New Mastersounds, and has shared the stage with DJ Numark (of Jurassic 5), Marc Broussard, The Scabs and Brownout. In April 2008, Flyjack instituted a weekly residency dubbed Super Soul Mondays at Antone's - Austin's "Home of the Blues." . . . .
NEWS: IN early October 2009, Flyjack went into the studio with legendary funk drummer Jab'o Starks from the James Brown's band to lay down tracks for an upcoming EP!!!! Watch for it in early 2010 - it's going to be SERIOUS!!!
ah ah, GREAT!!!!!!!!! :-) Please leave some room for a Hammond solo somewhere!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;-) Can't wait to hear the new tracks, keep me updated about news! ciao!!!!

Well, I'm split. If I went by your album covers & pics & would say y'all are a handsome band, but I've met most of you in person! ; ) Shout out to Marcus & Brad from Adrian!
Just got a call from a friend, they said they lost an angel.. Shhh, I didn't tell them where you were, because I wanted to keep you forever :) Send this to all of your True Friends including me if I am one. I sent an angel to watch over you last night, but it came back. I asked, "Why?"... The angel said: "Angels don't watch over angels!" If one day you feel like crying, call me. I don't promise that I will make you laugh, but I can cry with you. If one day you want to run away, don't be afraid to call me. I don't promise to ask you to stop, but I can run with you. If one day you don't want to listen to anyone, call me. I promise to be there for you but also promise to remain quiet. But one day if you call and there is no answer, come fast to see me. Perhaps I need you. Send this to all your friends, no matter how often you talk or how close you are and send it to the person who sent it to you. Let old friends know you haven't forgotten them, and tell new friends you never will. Remember, everyone needs a friend. Twenty angels are IN Your World. Ten of them are sleeping. Nine are playing.
