Interests

  • General

I am interested in mythology, lost languages, jazz, blues, nature, ecology, architectural and urban photography, goddesses, poetry, literature, and the eclectic that is art. Movies, Music, Art Exhibits, Travel, Walking, Biking, Hiking, Mountains, Lakes, Oceans, Woods, Rivers, and Cliffs.
  • Music

Jazz, Blues, Classic Rock, Folk, Fiddles, harps and woodwinds, a scattering of other genres and artists. Particularly fond of Dead can Dance, Stevie Nicks, Fleetwood Mac, Carly Simon, Depeche Mode, Sioxie and the Banshees, Concrete Blond. Rather dated in the artists whose name etc I know, not that I don't appreciate, but I haven't collected much recently. Enjoy dancing to goth, folk, jazz, some industrial, totally free form.
  • Movies

Labyrinth, Dark Crystal, What the Bleep do we know, Benny and Joon, Untamed Heart, Water, The Lake House, The Haunting, Horror, Drama, Foreign, Sundance and International Indie Films
  • Television

Don't own one, it means more time to make art and conversation. Used to watch Angel, Art Beat on PBS, Buffy, Discovery and Nova, History Channel, Sci Fi, and the occasional episode of Charmed, loved the original David Lynch series, Twin Peaks on DVD.
  • Books

I devour books, almost all types, especially art, well written novels, non-fiction that shares a new insight or perspective into this diverse world. Recenly read transpersonal psychology/universal spirituality, Hantha Yoga, the collected works of Gertrude Stein, Art Theory and Criticism.
  • Heroes

Georgia O'Keefe, Isadora Duncan, e. e. cummings, Alphonse Mucha, Stephen Crane, Johnny Depp, Mary Stuart Mastersen, Carl Jung, Joseph Campbell, Mircea Eliade, Bruce Mau, massivechange.org, institutewithoutborders.org, unionofconcernedscientists.org, foundationcenter.org, Changemakers, Movers and Shakers.
