About the CD:
This is FMTA's debut EP, featuring four of the band's most successful and heavy-hitting tracks written to date. Not recommended for the faint of heart, with in-your-face punchy industrial percussion, down-tuned roaring guitar riffs, dark ominous synthwork and surprisingly aggressive vocals. Prepare your ears for an impressive, fresh style!

Steve Springman - lyrics, vocals
Andrew Matecha - songwriting, synth & drum programming, arranging
Tyler Davidson - guitar writing & performing

Recorded & produced by Jeremy Inkel at Studio 302 in Vancouver
Mixed & mastered by Chris Peterson at The Lab in Vancouver

   ABOUT THE BAND:

FMTA initially formed in 2001 with Andrew Matecha and Steve Springman collaborating musically, working towards creating music of a unique, meaningful and notable heavy-industrial style.

After a few years of fairly reclusive songwriting and recording, FMTA gained a new member, Tyler Davidson, who brought the sound of his well-distorted guitars into the mix.

FMTA later released their debut studio-recorded EP, entitled "In The End, You Don't Exist", on December 8th, 2006.

At the beginning of 2007, singer Jen Langille was recruited to join the band, in a step to bring the band further realization of their musical & artistic goals.

More recently, the band have parted ways with guitarist Tyler Davidson but continue to write new material in anticipation of their next release.

   REVIEWS / PRESS:

Side-Line Magazine, Jul 2 2007, CD Review: "If you like dark and extreme pounding assaults, then your pleasure will be total!" ... "a percussive and radical musical approach"

The Dark Requiem, Jun 18 2007, Interview with Andrew Matecha

Chain D.L.K., May 14 2007, CD Review: "If you are looking for angry, aggressive music, this will suit you well."

Heathen Harvest, Feb 15 2007, CD Review: "This EP is SICK!" ... "The entire EP is very tightly written. The programming is hands down hitting every beat where it needs to." ... "FMTA is a breath of fresh air to fans of the genre, and to me, they help to bring hope to the seemingly sudden re-acknowledgement of the industrial scene."

SPM Music, Aug 16 2006, Live Review: "FMTA play a dirty, harsh, and dark electro industrial set sounding set with guitars and programming. Vocalist Steve Springman knows how to keep the energy going and was all over the crowd. His raspy punchy vocals added a nice touch of brutality to the set."

On Friday September 4th
Torrential Pain will headline this set while First Reign returns after not playing any shows in about 4 months. Nylithia will be awesome as usual and Over the Coals will be kicking off their Western Canadian tour right here in Vancouver. Skullhammer is going to rock a killer set.
So last chance to come rock it out with those bands one last time before our beloved Cobalt shut down, so let's make it such an end that it will go down in history.
