A: You will need to visit our website at www.onlocationcasting.net, fill out a Talent Application and upload 1-2 photos. It is FREE for the basic profile required to work on "Friday Night Lights". Upgrades offered by our software company Agency Pro offer many additional benefits however they are OPTIONAL and are not required.
2) Q: Do I get paid?
A: Yes, you get paid on an 8 hr scale with time and a half after 8 hours. The minimum pay for general extras is $58.00 for an 8 hour day ($7.25 per hour), plus overtime. Some more featured roles are at higher base rates.
3) Q: How will I be paid?
A: When you come to work, you will fill out a pay "voucher". You must have a valid photo ID and your social security number in order to be paid. At the end of the night when you sign out you will be given a copy "receipt" of your voucher. (*please make sure that all pay rates, hour and adjustments are correct before you leave the sign out table as changes can NOT be made after the vouchers are sent to payroll!!) You will receive a check in the mail usually 12-14 business days (NOT counting weekends) after your work date. If you do not receive your check within 14 business days, you should call the PAYROLL company (CAPS Payroll) at 847-480-7366. They are the only ones who handle your payroll and are the only ones who can discuss it with you or help you resolve payroll issues. Please do not call our office looking for your check!! ..
4) Q: What types of extras do you hire?
A: We are looking for all ages and ethnicities. Anyone interested in working under the age of 15 needs parental supervision on set. Anyone who is affilated with a group, ie cheerleading team, church group, bowling team, etc, may sign up as a group to receive a donation to your organization. For group donation opportunities please send us an email request to: fnl_extras@yahoo.com
5) Q: Will I get to be on tv?
A: Maybe, maybe not. Throughout the day you will partake in different scenes that are being shot. Whether or not you are included in the chosen camera angle/take cannot be determined. The more times you work on the show the greater the chance of you being able to see yourself on tv.
6) Q: Do you cast the speaking parts for "Friday Night Lights"?
A: NO. Principal Casting is handled by Beth Sepko Casting. If you are interested in a speaking role you will need to contact Beth at her office. Beth does not use our database to book principal talent, but you can get in touch with her to find out how to register yourself with her for upcoming roles. However, frequently some of our extras do get upgraded to speaking parts while on set.

Despite just having a short closeup in "A Sort of Homecoming," my 'character' was mentioned in quite a few blogs/reviews and caused a stir in the gay community. Thank-you, FNL Casting, for allowing me the opportunity to be a featured extra and represent Austin's gay community. :) I appreciate it and would love to work with you all again as an extra sometime.
