ENGLISH:The story of the FOCKEWULF 190 starts in 1980, when singer DARIO DELL'AERE, alias David Swan, and keyboards player VICTOR LIFE form the Diamond Dogs.
At the end of the 70's David Swan used to have a mime show, like the glam clichès of David Bowie, while Victor Life was experimenting electronic sound, ispired by Kraftwerk's music. These first-time influences of the new group, which started recording in October 1980, were album like "Reproduction" by the Human League and John Foxx's "Metamatic".
The first concerts took place in 1981, at the "Taxi Club", a cult-club of Milan-Mailand that was following the tendences of London's "Blitz" and of the New Romantic trend, the one with Visage and Ultravox as godfathers. With the help of other musicians, the duo invented live shows with a strong futurist imprinting and mystic theatrality, with surprising success. In 1982 guitarist Stan After joins the band, and the first, self-produced, single comes out, "No Sex": in this occurrency the band changes its name in "Ice Eyes". Thanks to this song, that did good in the underground scene, they succeed in signing a contract with a label and so publish, alias Fockewulf 190, two electrodance singles: BODY HEAT and GITANO, that sold very well (150000 copies) overall Europe, in particular in Germany. The following tour, in summer 1984, took on stage the first Fockewulf 190 album, that, indeed, never saw the light because of personal problems that obliged singer Victor Life to left the group.
Dario dell'Aere, anyway, published a solo single, "Eagles in the night", which was appreciated specially in France. The italian market trend was not ready for their musical message, so the project stopped to start again only in 1988. The reunion published a cover of Heaven 17, "The eight of the fighting", that unfortunately did not realize the expectations of success.
In 1990, the two original members move to the Riviera Romagnola and produce a couple of techno singles under different names, while their interest was switching towards esotherism and the study of classical mysticism. The next ten years are dedicated to the study of the cabbalist methodology of Sepher Yetzirah, and to the relation with different persons of the occult scene. These experiences are inspiring for some projects as the creation of the website.Castel Del Monte il Tempio dell'Apocalisse", and for some musical experiments in different occult websites, with the aim, of Dario dall'Aere, to find a contact with bidimesional entities. Life, from his part, starts writing an esoteric novel: "The golden Last Metamorphosis".
At the end of the 90's, Life starts a new musical collaboration with Arix Studio, in Milan, belonging to sound engineer Arix Dubaz. The new interest in synth pop and a rush of inspiration bring him to create a new band, Electrum Lux, with David Swan again at vocals, and Markus MOONLITE, that had already participated in old projects, as lyrics writer. The inner scope of the project comes from the possibility to make music out of the limiting italian cultural boundaries that caused its delay: a sort of return to the future, an electronic pray from a mind drowned in the magic world of evocations."

ITALIANO:La storia dei FOCKEWULF 190 inizia nel 1980, quando dal sodalizio artistico fra il cantante DARIO DELL'AERE, in arte David Swan, e il tastierista VICTOR LIFE, nascono i Diamond Dogs. Sul finire degli anni '70 David Swan presentava uno spettacolo di mimo, mutuato dai clichè glam di David Bowie, mentre Victor Life iniziava a sperimentare sonorità elettroniche sulle tematiche care ai teutonici Kraftwerk.
Le influenze di questo primo progetto, che iniziò le session nell'ottobre del 1980, vertevano principalmente su dischi quali "Reproduction" degli Human League e "Metamatic" di John Foxx. Le prime esibizioni avvennero nel 1981 al "Taxi Club", locale di culto della Milano mitteleuropea nato sulle orme del londinese "Blitz" e della moda New Romantic, che vide i Visage e gli Ultravox come capiscuola. Con l'ausilio di altri musicisti, il duo diede vita a spettacoli live dalla forte impronta futurista e della mistica teatralità che ottennero un sorprendente successo. Nel 1982 entra nella band il chitarrista Stan After, e viene stampato il primo singolo autoprodotto, "No Sex": per l'occasione la band assume il nome di "Ice Eyes".
Grazie a questo brano, che ebbe un discreto seguito nell'ambiente underground, il gruppo riesce ad ottenere un contratto discografico, che consente loro di far uscire con la sigla Fockewulf 190 ben due singoli di electrodance dal titolo BODY HEAT e GITANO grazie ai quali ottengono un ottimo riscontro a livello europeo, tedesco in particolare, con vendite complessive per 150.000 copie.
Il tour che ne seguì, nell'estate del 1984, presentava dal vivo il primo album dei Fockewulf 190, che però non vide mai la luce a causa dei problemi personali che costrinsero Victor Life ad abbandonare temporaneamente il gruppo. Fu così che Dario dell'Aere fece uscire un singolo come solista dal titolo "Eagles in the night" che raccolse molti consensi in paricolar modo in Francia. Il mercato italiano non era fertile per accogliere la loro proposta musicale, così il progetto s'interruppe per riprendere nel 1988 con una reunion che porta alle stampe una cover degli Heaven 17 "The eight of the fighting", che tuttavia non ebbe il successo sperato.
Nel 1990, i due membri fondatori si trasferiscono sulla riviera romagnola facendo uscire un paio di singoli techno sotto mentite spoglie, mentre il loro interesse si spostava verso la cultura esoterica e lo studio della mistica classica. Il decennio è dedicato quasi interamente allo studio delle tecniche cabalistiche insite nel Sepher Yetzirah, e ai contatti con diverse personalità del mondo dell'occulto; queste esperienze culturali danno lo spunto per diversi progetti quali la creazione del sito di DARIO DELL'AERE "Castel Del Monte il Tempio dell'Apocalisse", nonchè esperimenti sonori in diversi siti di culto.
Victor Life, dal canto suo, si dedica alla sperimentazione elettronica intesa come applicazione delle frequenze sonore in relazione alla scienza dei numeri della santa Cabbalah. Questa esperienza lo porta a scrivere il romanzo esoterico "The golden last Metamorphosis", dove il personaggio protagonista "Victor" incontra in uno studio di registrazione, un entità bidimensionale di nome "Life" il quale dopo avergli raccontato la sua storia di iniziazione attraverso la magia del suono, gli lascerà in eredità il potere dell'electrum...... " Il senso della nostalgia per quella vita pulsante, di cose meravigliose ormai morte, lascia spazio ad una nuova e sottile attesa, per una metamorfosi definitiva"
Sul finire degli anni '90, Life inzia una nuova collaborazione musicale con l'Arix Studio di Milano di proprietà dell'ingegnere del suono Arrigo Dubaz. Il ritorno d'interesse verso il synth pop ed una rinnovata ispirazione, lo convincono a produrre un nuovo progetto musicale ELECTRUM LUX, che vede ancora Dario David Swan alla voce, e Markus MOONLITE, che già aveva collaborato in alcuni progetti precedenti, nella veste di paroliere. Il senso del progetto è dato dalla possibilità di proporre finalmente musica svincolata dalle logiche provinciali italiane che lo hanno tenuto fermo ai blocchi di partenza: una sorta di ritorno al futuro, una preghiera elettronica sospinta da una mente avvolta dal magico mondo delle evocazioni--------------Guarda questo video: GITANO
