It's a great time to be a SABRES FAN!!!!!!Love, music, mental stimulation, good/intelligent conversations, movies, wit and wisdom, building things, creating, doing stuff with my hands, art, meeting good souls, laughing at simple things, working on projects around the house, spur-of-the-moment hanging out with friends, doing anything at all other than sit and watch the world pass by (unless it's a gorgeous day and I'm near the water), dogs, St. John Island, NYC, Chicago, foreign cultures, bonfires, trying new things, new ideas, creativity, imagination, passion, making people smile, kindness, sincerity, stars, the moon, alternative religions, meditation, self-expression, cooking, sewing, crafts, lily-of-the-valley bouquets, soft scents, soft clothing, warm hugs, texture, rich colors, simple but beautiful smiles, sunshine, self-realization, organization, boundless love, truth, existentialism, cherry trees, the ocean, the beach, camping, inner peace, the heart, the soul
Music
My musical tastes are all over the place!
I love when different genres can combine to make a wicked new sound.
I play cello and I love classical music. A smattering of other genres: METAL, Drum Corps, techno, electronica, dancehall, reggae, classic rock, alternative, standards, jazz, 80's hair bands, 90's grunge, some pop and modern music. There's no way I could name it all.
Movies
I like funny or classically romantic (not cheesy) movies best. I'm not one for psychologically scary movies because of my vivid imagination. The Exorcism of Emily Rose gave me nightmares for a week. My "guilty" pleasure: I like musicals, old-fashioned or new, big ole epics, and most movies that come in a series ... Like Pirates of the Caribbean I and II, The Lord of the Rings Series, and the Star Wars series (we used to sit and watch episodes IV-VI in succession in college at LEAST once a month. yep.). Once, I actually watched all 6 in a row. Took all day! Phew!!!
And for some reason beyond my control, I loved Howard the Duck when I was a kid. Good god
Television
I've watched my fair share of TV as a kid and young adult, and I know a good amount of pop culture because of it. As of today, I watch exactly NOTHING regularly.
Books
"Hail horrors, hail infernal world, and thou profoundest hell, meet thy new possessor. One with a mind not to be changed by place or time." The Prophet, Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Catcher in the Rye, Bel Canto, The Screwtape Letters, God's Debris, Invisible Man, Leaves of Grass, The Joy Luck Club, Prayer for Owen Meaney, Hamlet, Othello, Romeo and Juliet, The Scarlet Letter, Tale of Two Cities, the whole Harry Potter series, The DaVinci Code, Girl with a Pearl Earring, V for Vendetta, Message in a Bottle, Memoirs of a Geisha, Slaughterhouse Five, The Dharma Bums, It's Not About the Bike, The Devil Wears Prada, The Seat of the Soul. How-to books. I'm reading like crazy lately ... give me more ideas? The following is an impromptu definition of the 'spark', as spewed to me by an up-and-coming writer ;), such that I cannot let it fade into obscurity. Here, may it have immortality:
"An interplay of emotions/thoughts/images/imagination/heart between two people or maybe more depending on the situation that goes beyond the surface level and often defies description. A myterious connection, often indecipherable by the human mind and eye and other senses but sometimes it can be picked up by the sixth sense or universal mind..an energy that can be tapped into that can provide immense creative fuel and love."
Truly, can you describe it any better than that? I can almost feel it ...

About me: I'm a sweetpea. Mildly crazy at times. Mildly laid back at others. Up for anything, at just about any time. Trademark funky red hair ... recently traded for a wicked pitch black. ;) Short chick. Very pale skin. Hug connoisseur. Cello rocker. Yoga novice. Equal opportunity feeler and thinker. France lover. French learner. Lover of quick wit and intelligence. HopeFUL romantic. Free laugher. Vodka snob. Champagne guzzler. Kayaking lover. Rather verbose. Too generous. Somewhat cool. Mostly geeky. I'd find it dead amusing if I could permanently stain stainless steel.

You scored as Existentialism. Your life is guided by the concept of Existentialism: You choose the meaning and purpose of your life.
“Man is condemned to be free; because once thrown into the world, he is responsible for everything he does.”
“It is up to you to give [life] a meaning.”
--Jean-Paul Sartre
“It is man's natural sickness to believe that he possesses the Truth.”
--Blaise Pascal
You could be an "it girl," if you wanted to be...
Just be a little more outgoing and let people see how great you are.
You've got what it takes - you just have to put it out there!
A total shining star with a ton of admirers
And no wonder: you live life to the fullest!
When things get bad, you can easily take off to a happier place
But occasionally, you need to deal with problems head on
You are a nurturer and all around natural therapist.
People see you as their rock. And they are able to depend on you.
You are a soothing influence. You can make people feel better with a few words.
Your caring has more of an impact than even you realize.
"All these things shall love do unto you
that you may know the secrets of your heart,
and in that knowledge become a fragment of Life's heart.
But if in your fear you would seek only
love's peace and love's pleasure,
Then it is better for you that you cover your nakedness and pass out of love's threshing floor, Into the seasonless world where you
shall laugh, but not all of your laughter,
and weep, but not all of your tears. ~~Khalil Gibran, The Prophet
Who I'd like to meet: "Your friend is your needs answered." ~~Khalil Gibran, The Prophet
Kind souls with warm hearts and true smiles. Good huggers.
Someone who is a perfect blend of spunk, intelligence, wickedness, kindness, humor, compassion, and truth. Someone not afraid to be his crazy self, and is not intimidated by me when I am MY crazy self. A man who will rest his weary head in my lap and let me kiss his forehead goodnight.
Hehe! Ok, maybe I should be honest. 5'2 is achieved only when my posture is in its full, upright form. My slouchy, hunchback probably nets me 4'8. LOL! Yeah baby, you're a lil one like me...but it does have its advantages. For instance, ever been found while playing hide-n-go-seek?? Nope, the kitchen cupboards ALWAYS stump the seeker! And, unlike Amazonian woman...we can buy kids clothes (half the clothes, half the price!)...YAY! hehe
BTW, the Reeses/ Flock of delicious seagulls comment not only made me for some odd reason start singing:
"I walked along the avenue. I never thought Id meet a girl like you; Meet a girl like you. With black hair and laser blue eyes; The kind of eyes that hypnotize me through; Hypnotize me through. And I ran, I ran so far away.I just ran, I ran all night and day. I couldnt get away". BUT it also made me do my infamous donkey laugh (the one where I laugh obnoxiously loud in a short, harsh burst all the while throwing my head back. Good job on bringing me A.M. laughter chica!

I've upped my 401K last week. Trust me, the bottom may not come now, but the bounceback will be worth it. The major dowturn has occurred. Now ride the road to recovery. Just stay out of financial institution based investments... the credit crisis hasn't ended yet (those people who forclosed on housing probably haven't paid for their credit cards in a whiel too... watch out Capital One!!!)
