FOETICIDE es el asesinato de un feto, un aborto. En este caso es una banda de Death Metal que nace en mayo de 1992 en la ciudad de Mexico, despues de 16 años y bastantes cambios de alineacion, la banda ha realizado las producciones "Putrefact Corpse" demo 1993, para Belphegort Recs, "Life And Death" demo 1995, para American Line Prods, "The End Of The Beginning" (1998), 1ra. produccion oficial por Toaj Recs, "War,Domain And Torment" (2002), 2da. produccion para Sempiternal Prods, de Chicago USA y finalmente (por el momento), "Embrace Of Death" la ultima produccion para Onslaught y Bizarre Prods. FOETICIDE ha compartido escenario con infinidad de bandas tanto de Mexico como del Extranjero, y ha recorrido casi toda la Republica Mexicana y algunos paises de Centroamerica. En la actualidad FOETICIDE continua con la promocion del nuevo disco y se prepara para lo que sera su siguiente produccion, "Inside My Blood" la cual saldra a inicios de 2008.
FOETICIDE is the murder of a fetus, an abortion. In this case it is a band of Death Metal that is born in May of 1992 in Mexico City, after 16 years and a lot of line up changes, the band has made the productions "Putrefact Corpse" demo 1993, for Belphegort Recs, "Life And Death" demo 1995, for American Line Prods, "The End Of The Beginning" (1998), 1st. official production by Toaj Recs, "War, Domain And Torment" (2002), 2nd. production for Sempiternal Prods, of Chicago the USA, and finally (at the moment), "Embrace Of Death", the new production for Onslaught and Bizarre Prods. FOETICIDE has shared scene with infinity of bands as much of Mexico as of the Foreigner, and has crossed almost all the Mexican Republic and some countries of Central America. At the present time, FOETICIDE continues with the promotion of the new disc, and it is prepared for its following production, "Inside My Blood" which is prepared for beginnings of 2008.

Reading the bandname FOETICIDE you might guess that this Mexican outfit is another Death Metal band in the gory and blasting Death Metal style many US Death Metal bands offer us today. No, you are wrong, that’s not the case as FOETICIDE offer us pretty tight and melodic Death Metal with hints of old DARK TRANQUILLITY and old IN FLAMES when talking about the guitar work. The guitarists seem to be highly influenced by those Swedish masters and I think it’s not the worst way to go. The guys play highly melodic yet very cruel and fast Death Metal with fast forward catchy riffs from time to time even achieving Thrash Metal spheres. Besides that the vocalist works from time to time with great vocal effects which fit them well! Really good stuff here. This is already FOETICIDE’s third album and their best if you ask me and you can easily recognize that we are not talking about newcomers here (the band was already formed back in 1992). “Inside My Blood” offers 11 songs in a playing time of 50 minutes, a great production and as bonus a second CD including their “Early Years Of Rage 1992 – 2008”, which includes the re-recording of old songs from the demo “Life And Death” from 1995, from the demo “Putrefact Corpse” from 1993, 2 songs from their first full-length “The End Of The Beginning” (1998) and the demo “Nightmare Of Dreams” from IMPURE SURGERY (pre-FOETICIDE) from 1990 – and as we are talking about a re-recording here the sound quality is very good, too (though not as great as on the main CD). August of 2009, Black Shiner would begin to promote its new titled disc SUPER NOVA, we will follow in contact, another good news, the complete disc will be able to be listened in space of the band, with a song version demo as advance of 2º album, we want to be thankful beforehand to all our friends of myspace by its support and to all the involved to do that reality the launching of the SUPER NOVA album.
