   About Fognode
Brian Eno calls Siskind's work "original" "It has to me, a seductive quality" "I want to listen to what's going to happen"

Fognode is an artist and producer. Fognode was raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, and then -->New York City-->Seattle-->Nashville--> back in NYC. Fognode has produced, appeared with, and/or remixed a wide variety of artists, including more recently:

Bela Fleck
Casey Driessen
Let's Go Outside
Cortney Tidwell
Michael Shrieve
Jeff Coffin
Oblio
Sarah Siskind
Clare Burson
and many others.

and appeared on many compilations, been featured on NPR, film music, and have had stuff in commercials (American Express/Tiger Woods, Adidas promotions, etc.

Rolling Stone called Fognode's work "unsolicited" and "return to sender".

Wire Magazine deemed Fognode in their abstract prose an emotive experience they wanted again and again by stating simply, "remove us please".

BAT FOR LASHES
Finished and delivered a spec remix/recontextualization of "I Saw A Light" for Bat For Lashes, the beautiful work of British singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist Natasha Khan. Steeped in deep dark dub and field recordings, it became a meditation toward the transcendent... the ecstatic. Hope she likes it.

TRILON
In other news, mixing/Remixing full length record Trilon featuring Rock and Roll Hall of Fame member and drumming legend Michael Shrieve (Santana), with Skerik (Critters Buggin), Brad Hauser (Critters Buggin, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians), James Rotondi (Air, Grassy Knoll), and Reggie Watts (Maktub). Fognode has worked with Shrieve in many capacities over the last 12 years, but this marks the first full length collaboration. More on this to come.

CASEY DRIESSEN
Fognode plays lap steel, synth , and field recordings on his new record "Oog" (released May 12) featuring Matt Chamberlain, Viktor Krauss, and Darrell Scott. Also if you sign up for his mailing list at www.caseydriessen.com you will get a special free download of the remix/recontextualization called"Pennies In A Mask" by Fognode

BELA FLECK
Played lap steel/sounds on "D'Gary Jam" for Bela Fleck's Tales from the Acoustic Planet Vol. 3 - Throw Down Your Heart

I miss working on music with you... there's not very many outright crazy bastards that I'm in touch with down here anymore... I might have to just fully go overboard and become the craziest bastard I know...
Hope you're well. Downloading the new record now... standby.

Hey Brian,

Please put me down for a signed copy of your new CD!

'Across the Pond' is amazing and 'The Sound in My Head' is a masterpiece - like some sublime peal of bells. IMHO, this is your best stuff since Beat Hollow.

Warmest regards,
Stu
