Sounds Like
Stylistically- like nothing you've ever heard, but will enjoy. Vocally- close to Dave Matthews, but closer to Edwin McCain with a twist of Rozel. Guitar- Folk acoustic in a Rock setting. Music- easy on the ears but wrenching to the heart.
Petesimple got its start in early 1999 when Pete met Doug Parmer in the University of Houston Marching band and asked he and Devin Collins to join he and his drummer Susan to play some gigs. Doug having his own trio with Pete and Susan made this an easy reality. 3 EP releases, six side projects and one new member (Elissa; on violin) later Petesimple Released their 1st full length album in the November of 2004 (election day, yay) in good ol' Houston. Many gigs to follow, Pete toured the United states with new found Bass/Beatboxing/singing side man Ian Hammer. Bringing Folk-Boxing into the Lime Light in the Midwestern United States. Not long after Pete went on a short tour through England catching the release of the Revenge of the Sith at Leichester Square in London. Lots of fun. Now back in the states, ready for another tour, and a new reformed mega band with Mark Lewis (keys) and Richard Cholakian (drums), Petesimple waits patiently for "that gig" that puts them on the map and brings them to that next level.
