   About Conservatoire Folk Ensemble

From riotous 45-piece group to intimate duos and trios (with plenty in between), the shape-shifting Conservatoire Folk Ensemble is a whole festival’s entertainment in one show. Funky arrangements, traditional and original tunes, virtuosic playing, humour, dancing, hats... it’s more fun than anyone deserves!

"They lifted the roof off, playing a mixture of British and European Folk with such spirit and energy that people here keep asking for them back. They sang and danced indoors and out with breathtaking versatility. Put simply, they were brilliant and the audience loved them."

Richard Hawley, Director of The Lichfield Festival

"The Conservatoire Folk Ensemble is an evening of breathtaking talent, great variety, and huge energy. It was impossible not to get excited by the sheer exuberance and vitality of the whole thing, let alone the skill on show. Highly recommended – I can't wait for the next one."

Chris Jaeger, Director Huntingdon Arts

On tour May/June 2008!

Hello!
Looking for something different to do with your Saturday night?
Why not come and blow away the cobwebs of the Autumn term with The Old Dance School this Saturday? For just five English pounds you can enjoy a range of international folk music from this 8-piece band, take advantage of the Epic Skate Centre's bar facilities and of course, dance your socks off. Dancing isn't mandatory (that'd be weird) but all dances will be explained and called so even if you've never been to a Ceilidh before you'll be on it in no time. Hopefully see you there, take care,
Tom
