Folk Fight is a non-profit
acoustic music showcase of Knoxville/regional musicians. The participants range from local rockers to folkies to experimentalists. We maintain a listening room environment.
Folk Fight is about being alive, and being able to play the music that makes us happy. We count Simplicity, Natural Volume, and Free Expression amongst our favorite tenets, and make every effort to celebrate them in each show.
If I can shift some things around I will be at the Pearl Sunday. If I can't make it I hope you guys have a great show. What time are you going on stage?
Hey Folk Fight Folks....hope you can make it to... we'll be there from 8pm on to eat and visit with our friends before the music starts at 11pm...and man what a line-up of great musicians we've got playing saturday night...it's gonna be FUN!....hope to see you there love, t.
Wish we could be there, but we'll be trying to burn down Nashville. We have every bit of faith in Roman being able to hold his own, even in the face of such devastating weapns as "numb"chucks. See, what you don;t know is that Roman is an expert with his own secret weapon: the "Catholic nun"chucks...
Wow! What a weekend!!! Thank you, thank you T-Ak, Broken at the Gates and lastly buy not leastly, Centralia Massacre! You guys are awesome! -love from Freakish Owl Boy
Yeah! you guys rocked! my lady really liked seein yall,,,your set was great even with raspy vocals! you guys are truly got some magix happening---thanks for the shows!
Howdy all! We had us such a good time at the Folk Fight on Saturday, I wanted to write a brief review fer anyone who might be headin' down to see it, or to play it...
Folk Fight is one mean son of a bitch. Upon arriving in Knoxville, I recieved the hobo's welcome, (which came in the form of a fiber-optic cockfight), followed by a night of songs, wordses, sediment-stricken hot chocolate, and fried ravioli. The night was completed when a leather jacket was bestowed upon me. I shall forever cherish it. In short, Folk Fight is a chaotic, melodic, broke-down robotic, bum-filled, beautiful mess of a show. At least, that's the way it looks from here. Thanks again fer all yer hospitalities, we can hardly wait to come back and step in the ring fer another round. Love, The Sparrowses 867-5309
We had a GREAT time last night at the folk fight...and after too...the idea of walking around like we did was great but you know, since i got lost in one song, wooloughby is never gonna let me live down the fact that I can't walk and chew gum at the same time...hehehe....and here i thought i was a multi-tasker! looking forward to the next one... love, t.
