Hi Darren, Just sent a friend suggestion for a band I'm playing with at the moment - That Nadeen White Experience - www.myspace.com/nadeenwhite
Have a listen, particularly to the track Out OF The Blue which was played on the Steve Lamacq show on July 10th. The live band is Guitar, Double Bass, Accordion and Cahon. Just a quirky fun band at the moment but were getting a good response from audiences. Tell me what you think and I mean honestly. All the best, Nige Rivers

Your alternative ending 'ran off to Peckam, shacked up with Beckham' is noted; but I actually have an old girlfriend called Beckham (would you believe her name was Keane before she married) so your suggestion could leave me in serious Shtuck! How about a review of my album?

About me:

Folking.com was established in 1999 and has become one of the UK's foremost online folk music resources.

The Folking team is a small, dedicated group of people with a passion for folk music and a commitment to furthering the interests of the folk, acoustic music and Americana music movement; with a growing team of writers, reviewing the latest releases from the world of folk, each with their own inimitable style.

The original site Folking.com hosted a comprehensive, interactive database that allowed artists, clubs, festivals and other sections of the folk community to post their details and link to their own websites. An events diary also similarly provided a facility for artists to post details of their upcoming gigs and festival appearances, alongside a bulletin board that provided the latest news and views from the folk scene.

Many other excellent folk and acoustic websites have taken our lead in recent years and we now feel that the coverage of the music we love is in excellent hands and well represented in the UK and beyond. Therefore it seems sensible to change folking.com’s format and use this page as a gateway to lots of exciting new content from our own team efforts and other interesting sources.

We will also build on the community we have set up by improving the archive of photos on Flickr, the considerable collection of exclusive videos on YouTube and this our very own MySpace page.
