About me: "A Boxful of Treasures Folk Club" è una libera Associazione Culturale, istituita con apposito statuto depositato presso l'Agenzia dell'Entrate di Forlì, nonché dalle norme del Codice Civile e dalle leggi in materia.
E' un'associazione di fatto apartitica e apolitica e al di fuori di propagande e strumentalizzazioni, dirette e indirette, politiche e di ogni genere e tipo, con durata illimitata nel tempo e senza scopo di lucro ed ha finalità esclusivamente culturali.
L'Associazione Culturale "A BOXFUL OF TREASURES FOLK CLUB” persegue gli scopi di divulgare la musica folk anglo-scoto-irlandese in Italia; proporsi come punto di riferimento per favorire l’incontro di appassionati della cultura e della musica folk anglo-scoto-irlandese, nel nome di interessi musicali e assolvendo alla funzione di maturazione e crescita culturale; la promozione, l’organizzazione e la gestione di eventi culturali propri e per conto di altri enti; stipulare accordi e convenzioni con enti pubblici e privati per l’organizzazione e la realizzazione di concerti, festival, manifestazioni a scopo culturale.
La costituzione dell'Associazione Culturale è la concreta realizzazione di un sogno nato dal nostro desiderio di condividere l'amore e la passione per la Musica Folk Anglo-Scoto-Irlandese, attraverso l'organizzazione autonoma di concerti dal vivo, di workshop, di incontri con gli artisti e di qualsiasi altra forma di espressione artistica che possa favorire la diffusione di questi generi musicali ed il loro background culturale.
La realizzazione di ogni evento nasce dalla nostra libera ed autonoma espressione creativa ed organizzativa, apolitica, apartitica, aconfessionale e senza alcun fine di lucro.
"A Boxful of Treasures Folk Club" non ha alcuna presunzione manageriale ovvero di svolgere attività al pari di un'agenzia, ma, al contrario, vuole essere un punto di riferimento per chi è appassionato ed interessato a queste forme musicali ed allo scambio di esperienze, di materiali e di informazioni, nonchè vuole cooperare nell'ideazione e nell'organizzazione di eventi musicali e culturali senza fini commerciali ma solo ed esclusivamente per sostenere l'attività dei Musicisti e della loro Arte.
Siamo convinti che la musica oltre ad essere una fonte inesauribile di emozioni e di stimoli vitali sia pregnante di cultura vera, di impulsi e di suggestioni che si sublimano nella dimensione dal vivo, grazie ad un coinvolgimento diretto che crea una dimensione unica ed irripetibile.
"A Boxful of Treasures Folk Club" nasce, quindi, dalla nostra idea di condividere e diffondere questi generi musicali e la cultura che li sostiene.
Nel continuo rispetto delle classiche tradizioni musicali, ci proponiamo di continuare, aggiornare e coltivare quei valori morali e culturali cui l'arte della musica di per sé insegna, riportandoli così a tutti coloro che desiderano avvicinarsi al meraviglioso e fantastico mondo della Musica Tradizionale Anglo-Scoto-Irlandese...

A Boxful of Treasures Folk Festival is a traditional Folk Festival. The Festival is organised on a non-commercial basis and it hosts and promotes the greats of Irish, Scottish and English Folk Music. This is the first edition of the Festival and it will be held in Forlì, Italy. The Folk Festival brings together some of the most important performers of our times with roots to English, Scottish & Irish Folk Music. The "A Boxful of Treasures" Folk Festival is a multi-day music festival held at the historic "Piazzetta della Misura" in Forlì. This year's event will kick off on Friday, June 27th, and Saturday, June 28th, with two full evening concerts at the City Centre of Forlì. All of the shows for the 2008 Folk Festival Concert Series in Forlì are free to the public. They are held outdoors, but are not therefore subject to cancellation or relocation if there is inclement weather. As a matter of fact, in this case the concerts will be held at the "Sala Santa Caterina". The lineup for the 2008 "A Boxful of Treasures" Folk Festival has been announced and includes: Seylan Bexter & Cheyenne Brown, a very excellent Scottish duo who usually play "Scottish harp cello and song" from Glasgow; Rallion - a superb four-piece-band from Glasgow & Edinburgh, and Imogen Gunner "Imoband Quartet" + Special Guests, a fantastic Traditional Band from Co. Clare, Ireland & Oxford/South East England, United Kingdom.

"A Boxful of Treasures Folk Club" is a non-profit Italian Cultural Association whose stated purpose is to encourage and promote all forms of musical and artistic expression of Scottish, Irish and English Folk Music. We are organizing a new edition of our Folk Festival for the next summer 2009. "A Boxful of Treasures Folk Festival" is a multi-day Traditional Folk Music Festival and there is a deliberate policy in the festival to combine well established folk musicians and emerging talents This is the second edition of the Festival and it will be held in Forlì, 65 km south of Bologna, at the historic "Piazzetta della Misura" in the City Centre of Forlì, Italy. This year's event will be held on July 31th and August 1th, with two full evening concerts. All of the shows are free to the public. The lineup of the festival will be officially announced shortly, and those musicians interested in participating should contact us as soon as possible. We offer our hospitality and our hearts to those who want to share with us this fantastic project inspired by friendship and good music, surrounded by our Mediterranean climate !
