The Folk'n'Western Recording Co. is a brand new label based in Scotland.
Their aim is to bring the best Country Music to the masses.
This is why they have chosen to work with the UK's top Honky-Tonk Country band John Miller and his Country Casuals.
John Miller is one of the greatest Country singers and songwriters ever to come out of the UK. I've long been an admirer of his work having been charmed by his previous albums 'Popping Pills' and 'One Excuse Too Many'.
I was absolutely thrilled when John approached me with a proposal to release his latest (as yet unnamed, coming late 2009) album, his first for The Folk 'n' Western Recording Co. The 12 songs featured on this record are among the best he has ever produced and, hopefully, this will be the beginning of a long and fruitful association with my company.
John Miller's songs represent not only the best in UK Country Music but of Country Music in general. His songs would sit comfortably on the albums of any of the country legends you care to name.
Editor Craig Baguley of top UK magazine ' Country Music People' said that John Miller's first album was "one of the finest country albums ever released by a UK act; indeed, by any independent artist, whether out of Austin, Nashville or Australia... This is a record that British country can be proud of."
I have to agree with Craig but I think his new album is even better.
