About me:


Folk Radio UK is an independent internet radio station. We play two radio streams. This page is for the British Folk and Celtic music stream we play. We also have an Alternative / Indie Folk Stream which has a seperate profile here on Myspace. See below... Folk Radio UK is commercial free and the music isn't interrupted by pointless blurb. The music is what matters so you won't get any DJ chatter. It is funded by listener donations and online sales of music.

The website features info on music played etc. as well as videos. It also has a community forum. We are based in North Somerset, UK.

We're playing at The Thekla in Bristol tomorrow night. We hope you can come. Its a special multi-media show with a vj mixing footage from Baka land with live film and effects. Come and dance and spread the word to your friends. It'll be a great night. We'll be playing songs from our new album "Baka Beyond the Forest" as well as some old favourites. Its the 5-piece line up featuring Molara, Fela Kuti's niece and the original voice of Zion Train, joining Su on vocals. You can hear clips on our website (www.baka.co.uk) and our Myspace page. It starts early (7.30pm) so don't be late! One Love!
