I am Fonda Cash, the mother of 3 incredibly talented, handsome, and smart boys ages 18, 14, and 12. I love my husband, family and life. Music is my soul. I really don't think I can breathe without it. I grew up with the greatest musical teacher I could have ever had, my father Bobby Cash (he was a 60's Rockabilly artist signed to King Records in the early 60's). He was an incredible keyboardist, vocalist, front man & song writer who's voice was made for radio. I feel I've been blessed with some of his talents as well as some of my own and I love sharing them with the world. I sang on stage for the first time at the age of nine years old with my father and spent my life throughout the years performing with him. At age sixteen I was the lead singer for an all female rock band in Orlando, FL called "Spoiled Rotten", then at the age of seventeen I sang lead for the rock band "Barely Legal". We performed in many local night clubs in both bands. When I reached age nineteen I became a proud mother and took a break from my music career until 1994. I then started singing in a country, rock, pop, dance, and blues band called "KICKBACK" with whom I recorded my first album "Strung Out" in 1997 with Clarence Clemons. It was a lot of fun and great experience for me. Kickback performed at Sun Fest, many night clubs, amphitheaters, country clubs, resorts, concerts, festivals, and private parties including shows in Nashville, Chicago, Bahama's & Key West. We were also the featured band in a Captain Morgan's commercial while playing at Sun Fest in Palm Beach, FL and it was televised nationally. The band stayed together for seven years. After that, I decided to be a stay home mom for several years and started writing my own music during that time. In Dec. of 2002 my father passed away and I wrote and recorded my first solo project, "I Wanna Be The Light". I collaborated with several great talents on that album, one of them was guitarist Chris Risola of "Steelheart". Who I still write and record with today. In March of 2004 I chose to go full force with my music career and released my first single "I Don't Need Your Love & Kisses" which was co-written by my father Bobby Cash and Wayne Cochran to radio through HMG Nashville in Dec. of 2004. It placed number 33 on the Indie Country Charts. I spent a year traveling from Palm Beach to Nashville promoting the record. During that time, I performed on TV Shows and at several record label showcases. I have also won song competitions for my writing and performances. I wrote and performed "Then Maybe Someday" which was chosen to be the theme song for the Foal Rescue Foundation. My song "Supa Stah" co written & performed by Lisa Barreca won a spot on "Peavey's Artist's Who Rock" compilation disc and "Broadjam's Proximity Effect" compilation CD. Many of my songs have placed in the Top 10 on tons of music charts globally. My music is available and has been played on radio stations worldwide. You can find my music on I Tunes, jukeboxes and many internet based sites. I have worked with USA Network's NASHVILLE STAR and CBS's ROCK STAR. I love performing and being on stage. It is where my soul feels free and I am most comfortable. I enjoy people, new challenges, traveling, and all that life has to offer. I am now dedicating my musical talents to teaching others and helping them to reach their goals in the music business. I teach vocal and performance lessons in the Western Communities of Palm Beach, FL. Pat Benatar & PINK are my favorite female singers. Jeff Tate, Rob Thomas, Mike Reno & Steven Tyler are my favorite male singers. Loverboy, Dokken and Queensryche are my favorite bands. My greatest musical inspiration is my father, Bobby Cash. He was born on Dec. 5 1944 and died on his birthday Dec. 5th 2002. His legacy lives on and will continue to do so forever more............ Amber Rose was a huge influence to my musical career. They were an original rock band from Chicago who moved to Orlando Florida. I met them when I was 16. They became my personal friends and I admire their musical talents greatly. This is a partial list of some of the newer singers & groups I like; Daughtry, Nickelback, Distrubed, Staind, Puddle Of Mud, Hoobastank, Beth Hart, Joss Stone, Paramore, Taylor Swift, Amy Winehouse, Amanda Marshall, and many more........... I LOVE BIG & RICH! Here are some of my other influences; Dokken, Whitesnake, Cinderella, Aerosmith, Ronnie James Dio, Motley Crew, Ozzy, Judas Priest, Tesla, Metallica, KISS, Guns & Roses, Bon Jovi, The Black Crows, Poison, Madonna, Patty Smyth, Melissa Etheridge, Jewel, Paula Cole, Heart, Journey, Matchbox 20, Dishwalla, Splender, Van Halen & ALL the oldies, Patsy Cline, Elvis Presley, Michael Jackson, Prince, John Cougar, REO Speedwagon, Foreigner, Bob Segar, Richard Marx, Charlie Rich, Billy Ocean, Bryan Adams, Taylor Dayne, Barbra Streisand, Diana Ross, Lionel Richie, Sam Cook, Olivia Newton John, Hank Williams Jr., Kenny Rogers, the list goes on and on--------------------------- FIREWORKS MAGAZINE CD REVIEW From Palm Beach comes the very talented and beautiful FONDA CASH, daughter of the late Bobby Cash. Fonda has just recorded a superb album called 'I Wanna Be The Light' that features thirteen catchy pop rock tunes like opener 'Stars & Money', this is catchy as hell, a little bit of pop, a little rock, a little Rn'B makes for a cool catchy opener. Next up is 'Bye Bye Baby Bye Bye' this song is filled with emotion fueled vocals that just lull you in. Fonda has one heck of a way of carrying her songs and makes even the subtle tracks come over with huge passion, there is also a superb guitar solo on this song that is right from the Journey camp, awesome beautiful song, I can just imagine Steve Perry singing this. Next is the funky catchy country pop of the excellent 'I Don’t Need Your Love & Kisses', right away your signing along and again Fonda sounds amazing and pulls this song off. Next up is the subtle charm of 'Change', this song is again country pop but as it grows you just cant help but be pulled into the charm of the song, this one tells like a story and has some cool lyrics. 'Without You' is awesome with a strong Stevie Nicks and Sheryl Crow feel, and once again Fonda showcases her amazing vocal style, she's a star in the making and carries the songs with perfection, this is a sweet song perfectly performed from all the band. 'Taste The Wine' complete with its chugging guitars and hammond keyboards is a forceful up-tempo catchy rocker reminiscent of Joey Tempest's 'A Place To Call Home', but with female vocals. This song is catchy as hell and another favorite, some gorgeous guitar and vocal melodies just make you fall in love with the song. The up-tempo 'Get Your Partying Gear' has a funky blues feel; once again this is just so addictive. The title track 'I Wanna Be The Light' is a looser country pop song, nice guitars coupled with the flow of the song works well, think Stevie Nicks meets Marie Lindberg. 'Raining Down On My Parade' is country pop at its finest, however the guitars are crisp and on this song Fonda comes over a little like Dolly Parton crossed with Laura Lynn, this is just superb and will have you singing along from the first play. The mellow 'Runaway' is again a superb track, again Fonda comes over like a mix of Jamie Kyle, Sheryl Crow and Stevie Nicks, this songs has a country pop feel. 'I Couldn't Stop' is massive catchy pop rock with scorching guitars, right up there with Stevie Nicks and Pat Benatar, this is very catchy and should be all over radio, massive song. 'Be My Baby' is soft and summery, I adore Fonda's Stevie Nick's inspired vocals on this track coupled with the subtle melodic guitars, and this is superb pop/rock built for radio. 'Be My Daddy Again' is a gentle soulful almost based piano ballad with very charming lyrics and features stunning vocals from Fonda. 'I Wanna Be The Light' is the perfect country pop/rock album and has so many catchy and beautiful songs, Fonda is an amazing artist, I love this album so much and cold not fault one track. Check her out at www.fondacash.com and www.myspace.com/fondacash. A star in the making, someone get her over to the UK for shows. Nicky Baldrian Fireworks Magazine
