Yeah, we know this page needs updating. We're getting to it. Who's got a scanner? Look for the "Lover Gone Away" video to appear in this space soon...
The Bio:
Brandon, Ed and Greg started FOO as a summer project back in 1991 as an answer to the crappy local bands dominating the scene at the time. The trio took their band name from an early Daffy Duck cartoon, and began writing songs in the back of Ed's house. The first FOO show was for a friend's graduation party in the spring of 1992. The first FOO album, "A Band Called FOO", was released as a cassette towards the end of the summer. In the winter of 1993, Brandon left the band to focus on College and his other band (Soulstice).
FOO went on hiatus for a few months when ROb answered a "Drummer Wanted" ad. Backed by a new drummer with a different sound, FOO played their second "first" show in Summer 1993. Songs written over the next year were collected on the CD "Fix Your Snack" and a split 7" Record ("Prog"). FOO continued to play live throughout the Chicago area over the next couple of years. In Summer 2006, after five years together, FOO played their final show at the Spankakee Me music festival in Kankakee, Illinois.
Most of the FOO guys currently live in the Chicago area. Ed currently fronts the freak-rock band Phistine Verona, and Greg can be found playing the low end in The Shifites. Rob remains at large, but is believed to be unarmed. We have no freaking CLUE what Brandon's up to these days, but if he'd EVER RETURN A STINKIN' EMAIL we'd gladly update this entry you're reading right now.
Every once in a blue moon the three get together to play the old tunes and reminisce about the old days. A couple of reunion shows have been played, and there has been some talk of recording the "lost" FOO songs. Stay tuned for details, and always watch the skies.
UPDATE: FOO will reunite in Kankakee June 28th, 2008. Check this MySpace page for details.

Oh wow... Last time I saw you all was in about 1996. Something about a certain band member wearing a polyester dress and singing a speed metal version of "Baby Got Back."
Crazy...I've been asking people for 2 years if anyone knew what happened to Rob Askew and here you were at my fingertips....I was asking the wrong people apparently ;)
