My name is Andrea Garza, and I am currently 17 years old. I created foodallergytalk.com to provide support to parents, teens, and kids that have been diagnosed with food allergies.
Food Allergy Talk provides a completely original take on providing information, facts, tips, recipes, and supprt simply because of my goal for creating a true Food Allergy Community.
Creating a Food Allergy Community will provide the much needed emotional support that is often hard to come by with some other sites that provide only information. Food Allergy Talk provides you not only with information, but with tools for you to recieve the emotional support that you are looking for.
My personal experience with having food allergies (I am allergic to wheat, gluten, milk, eggs, corn, soy, peanuts, fish, garlic, and more) means that you have direct contact with someone who has already done the research and dealt with real life situations-and I am here to share my knowledge and experience with you.
Please feel free to contact me, Andrea Garza, directly at FoodAllergyTalk@gmail.com or send me a message via myspace.
My Mom, because she spent so many long days researching food allergy information and trying to find all the ways to cope with both my allergies and my little sister's allergies. Without her, I don't know where I would be, and I know that my life would not be as wonderful as it is now. Thanks Mom ?

Having food allergies changes your life dramatically. For me, I was always allergic to milk. However, later on I began getting sick every month. Finally, I went in for testing, and found out I had so many more food allergies.
From then on, my life was completely different. No more junk food, no more greasy fast food burgers.
Don't think I'm saying this like it's a bad thing-because I like to see it as a blessing in disguise. This was probably the best thing that could happen to me. I lost some of my junk food weight and I looked healthy. I was no longer imprisoned in the bathroom every month because of allergies, and I was finally feeling good. [Besides, without my allergies I would never have created FoodAllergyTalk.com and I would not have discovered my passion to become a naturopathic doctor!]
Finally I decided to make a food allergy website, because I know how hard it was for me and my Mom to get used to the huge change. It took a long time, and many hours of research to become what my family is today. You have to have an open mind, and be willing to make the change.
As you read through the pages of foodallergytalk.com, you will learn so many things. There's tips, recipies, and most importantly: support.
You can email me (foodallergytalk@gmail.com), message me, ask others questions on the forum, or find the much needed support that you are looking for-so prepare yourself for the best change of your life!
