With Food Share America we have pick up sites with little or no overhead and we pass that savings on to our members. Our purpose at FSA is through cooperative buying, volunteer participation, and reduced fixed costs is to offer quality food products at the lowest possible price.
Food Share America (FSA) can offer such an incredible savings through the power of group buying and the support of our incredible volunteers. We purchase food through the same manufacturers as grocery stores without the overhead cost being passed on to you as a consumer. FSA offers the food purchasing program on a monthly basis. At the beginning of the month you place and pay for your order. Then at the end of the month, you visit your local host site and pick up your order. It's easy to use, saves you money and is fun to do. FSA sells at least three quality food packages monthly and ala-carte items.

This program is for everyone.
How do I qualify? FSA is not based on income, age, physical capabilities, etc. FSA is open to everyone. There is no application process.
How does this work? You can place and pay for your order about 2 weeks in advance of the food delivery date. On the "distribution day" you go to the local host site and pick up your food. No pre-purchase necessary.
Where does the food come from? The food comes from suppliers from every part of the United States and Canada. The fruits and vegetables are selected by professional buyers, and only the very best are acceptable at Food Share America. The food comes from the same growers and produce distributors as the food found in grocery stores.
How often and how much can I order? You can order as much as you want. You can order every month, no minimum, no maximum. In fact, many families use FSA as their primary food source and supplement with the local supermarket
How do I order? Online at www.foodshareamerica.com or www.sharecolorado.com with Visa/MasterCard. Order through a host site; call main office at 800-933-7427 or look online for a host site near you. Order by phone at 800-933-7427; pay with Visa/MasterCard and food stamps.
When and how do I pay? You pay when you place your order. You can pay with cash, Visa/MasterCard, and food stamps.
Where do I pick up the food? At a local pick-up place called a FSA host site, usually a church, community center, or other public gathering place.
Is volunteer time required? No, but it is strongly encouraged. FSA operates with approximately 25 paid employees and over 6,000 volunteers; to volunteer contact the main office or your local host site.
