Foot Soldier is a well established band with a passion for music that has been honed with over a decade of playing together. This hard rocking quartet from the Ottawa Valley in Canada write hook-laden hard rock, loaded with tight rhythyms and gigantic guitars.
In 2008, Foot Soldier released their first album, "Free To Wait". The local market received it enthusiastically and it helped the band work with artists like Alannah Myles and the late great Jeff Healey. This also marks the year that member Jeff Brideau was deployed overseas, putting the band on hiatus for some time.
Since Jeff's recent return, the band had been prolifically writing new material and working in the studio to finish their second album, due for release in early 2010. In July 2009, the band took second place out of over 2000 North American bands in Alpine Electronics "Rock The Dash 2" online battle of the bands. This provided them a huge amount of exposure and opened the doors for some interesting projects including an opportunity to have some of their tunes available on the new upcoming Rock Band 2, and a flurry of interest from music industry professionals.
Only time will tell with this band, but one thing is certain - where there is a will there is a way and no matter how long it takes, Foot Soldier will give it their all and enjoy the entire ride from start to finish. Much love and respect to all our supporters, you are the reason we do what we do.
