Forbidden Fruit Book Club's Blurbs |
About me:
First, I would like to tell u a little about the book club. My name is Patrice and We are the Forbidden Fruit Club and our mission is to read books and have fun. Currently, we are reading mostly African American authors and have plans to branch out. The club belongs to the group of people that participate. The members pick the books and make the discussion questions. I just do all the dirty work. I'm the behind the scenes worker. I plan and keep everyone informed.
If you have a book suggestion, meeting space suggestion, or you would like to host a meeting just let me know. I hosted the first two meeting and one of the other members take turns hosting the meetings. We usually meet, discuss the book and do some kind of group activity. Meetings are optional for everyone but me. So, there is no pressure to commit.
I can forward u the last email I sent with the book selection information. I can also added u too the listserv. I send out periodic emails about cool books I find and stuff. So, if we sound like a fun group and your interested in joining us, just let me know.
