“Loud, proud and guaranteed to rock the crowd”, those were the words Metal Hammer (UK) used to describe the stomping Metal of Holland’s Forcefeed. And in deed, with their sound, charactarized by downtuned, incredibly heavy riffs and intensely melodic choruses, it will be hard to remain unmoved.
Formed in September 2002, Forcefeed prove to be a productive collective. Their first EP ‘Choke On A Mouthful’ was only released four months after their formation and their first album ‘When Grey Becomes’ followed in April 2004. From that album, the track ‘The Things They Say’ was chosen to make a video for, which fared pretty well in the band’s home country. The song rose to the second place on the rock charts of music channel The Box and Dutch MTV also aired the video regularly. ‘Stainless’ was the band’s second album and it was released in October 2005. The album was even followed by a three week American tour. This, combined with the large amount of other shows through the years, makes the band a force to be reckoned with. Not only on their quality albums, but also on stage.
And the saga continues. Forcefeed recorded their self titled third album with Jochem Jacobs of Textures-fame. The crushing result can first be heard on October 15th, when Rusty Cage Records (EU) and Glasstone Records (UK) will release ‘Forcefeed’ onto the unsuspecting Metal community.
