“This could be the release that puts FFS on the proverbial rock and roll map. The album is something of a throwback to the days when making an album actually mattered, not just as a propaganda tool of filler to substantiate a couple mass market singles. 'Dim…' is chock full of great songs, there are easily four or five songs that could pass as singles. The flow is orchestrated the way bands like The Beatles or Radiohead or The Band used to create, where the flow of the music dictated a complete enjoyable listen and not something you would just skim for the good tracks. “This album is a revelation, delivering well-conceived, well-played, well-recorded alternative rock with confidence and style. ‘Alternative rock’ is something of a misnomer these days, but it truly applies to this band. Their sound recalls the 90’s peak of the genre, when bands like Soundgarden and Stone Temple Pilots were at full creative strength. Singer Jamie Reaume has vocal chops and charisma to rival Scott Weiland, guitar work shines and the rhythm section is adventurous but solid. What impresses most is the songwriting: it’s tuneful yet original, ably avoiding cliché, combining unconventional riffs with a psychedelic edge. Keep an ear out for these guys.”
