Based in Sydney, FORENZICS plays free-form/improvised/experimental music. Core instrumentation is 2 guitars and trumpet, with an open-ended approach to improvisation. The band has also featured drums, banjo, voice, bass guitar, and lo-fi and hi-fi electronics. Sometimes spontaneous 'songs' appear out of the chaos, at other times it takes shape more like a textured sound-collage or soundtrack. Prepared guitars, alternate tunings and a wide sonic pallette of effects pedals is a feature of the bands sound.
The members of Forenzics have been active in the Alternative/underground music scene here since the late 1980s in one form or other. Having played and guested in many obscure acts, and some you might have heard of including: The Hoax, The Strange, Waiting for Guinness, Dbl, Melma Hydrogen, Jekyll Switch, Gypsy-dub sound, Lunchtime at the sheltered workshop, Captains and more tba.
Their debut album H3O is now available.

Hello!!! It's been awhile - sorry there hasn't been in any Australian shows for many months but we've been busy in Europe with a bunch of touring and we're now recording our new album in Berlin (scheduled for release in March). But to make up for it, here's a big (and silly) Merry Christmas from us (and from some hippos too) :
