VJ Foresight is a Web Manager, TV Producer and VJ. Born in San Juan, Puerto Rico, he attended college at Miami International University of Art and Design, where he received a BA in Film and Television Production.
Foresight discovered club visuals in 2004, and was immediately taken with the idea of combining his love of electronic music with film making & graphic design. Soon after he put together a VJ set up and started playing at local Miami clubs. In 2005, he went on tour to Bogota Colombia with Digital Lifestyle & Patrick M, they performed at Palco 93 and Club Cinema. In Puerto Rico he performed at Club Candela. In 2006, he joined Revolution Bookings and became official VJ for the group Third Ear Syndrome. Third Ear Syndrome performed at Ultra 2007, 2008 & 2009 and served as back-up for Infected Mushroom at The Pawn Shop, Miami. In 2008 he created and produced the web show Electro Live PA with Afrobeta and Third Ear Syndrome. In South Florida, Foresight has performed at Nocturnal, Sonar, Jazid, The Pawn Shop, Vodoo Lounge, Eden Terrace, Club Glass, Ole Ole, Blue, IO Lounge, Exit and Metropolis. Other notable gigs include The WMC 2009 VJ Challenge & an 8-performance club campaign for Hennessey Cognac.
VJ Foresight’s setup includes a Korg Kaptivator, Videonics MX1 Videos Mixer and 3 Portable DVD Players. Foresight’s style is a mix of stop-motion animation, video distortion, green-screen FX, graphic design.
Romborama is the fruit of one day of shooting and two and a half months of scratching, torment, solitude, anxiety and inspiration…. To achieve the right degree of confusion.
I lacerated 15000 frames on a 35mm film.
Then I added letraset, colour and in the end I applied the screentones, used by designers to emphasize the colour contrast.
