Varied. I like Billy Joel as much as I like Crass and the Dropkick Murphys. I do lean towards punk-type music, such as Flogging Molly, Bad Religion, Rancid, NOFX, Dead Kennedys, etc. I love Tom Waits too. I have an odd affinity for old-school country truck driving songs. But, if it's country and NOT about driving a truck, I probably won't like it. I really don't like most new country or top 40 poppy stuff. Anything else, I'll give it a chance, because I just might like it. Lately I seem to be developing an affinity for sea shanties.
Film
Favorites are Convoy, Goodbye My Lady, the Road to Wellville and Baxter. If anyone's seen all 4, major bonus points because you rock. I'll give most movies a chance, but my interests usually lean towards comedy or drama. I'm not big on blow-things-up action films with no plot, or sci-fi. Truly well done horror is OK. My collection includes: Brain Candy, Empire of the Sun, At Play in the Fields of the Lord, Smokey and the Bandit, Office Space, Finding Nemo, Riding in Cars with Boys, I Am Sam, Deliverance, Cast Away, Pushing Tin, Joy Ride, Radio Days, Bedazzled, Borat, Running with Scissors, etc. Just kind of a cross-section to give an idea what I like to watch.
Let's not forget Meet the Feebles, and the Sodomy Song :)
Televisione
In complete honesty, I have been driving a truck over the road for the past 4 years, and I have fallen completely out of the loop where TV is concerned. Although I can occasionally get good air-TV reception and formed an immediate addiction to Hell's Kitchen about 2 months ago, but can rarely pull in Fox on the right night. I have always loved the Simpsons, King of the Hill, South Park, Drawn Together, and most recently discovered Robot Chicken on Adult Swim....it rocks
Libri
I like John Grisham books, and a book called "I Am the Cheese" by Robert Cormier. Terry Pritchett books are awesome. And yes, I like the Harry Potter books. Of the more memorable that I've read recently include, "The Mists of Avalon" "Bastard out of Carolina" and "The Whipping Boy."
Eroi
My mom, because she went through a hell of a lot with me when I was young and still managed to do a great job. She's my best friend and probably the person I admire most in the world.
Then there's my dog.....he's always happy, never lets anyone bother him, and doesn't really give a crap what anyone else thinks. He reminds me of the simpler things...that sometimes a soft place to cuddle in a sunny spot is all you need for contentment.

Chi sono: I'm a mildly schizophrenic, slightly neurotic, escaped mental patient with mild homicidal tendencies. I escaped from my cell using only a toothbrush and a squirrel, and proceeded to hijack a truck full of green leaf lettuce and drive it to Walla Walla. Because, you see, the truck was bound for Albequerque and the guys from cartoons are either going to Albequerque or Walla Walla. And Albequerque was flooded with pudding that day, (tapioca, I think, which makes it hard to get traction). So, I went to Walla Walla.
Five years later, I finally got Kroger to unload my lettuce & I came off the road as a trucker. Now I think I'd like to be a farmer. Whether or not I will be lucky enough to be "in the dell" remains to be seen.
Okay, okay, whaddya want? I just find it a bit dry to start out by saying something like, "I'm wacky and funny! I like throw pillows, mashed peas and watching House!" If you read my intro you may come away feeling a bit of concern, if not outright fear...and if you're gifted in the humor department you might have recognized sarcasm and satire and you may just be smiling. And that, folks, is the name of the game.
So, to be serious, I'm 26 and recently came off the road as an OTR truck driver. It was a fun 5 years, but it's time to do something else. My "significant other" & love of my life, Fred, is still OTR & I am eternally grateful to him for supporting me. I have two dogs, Jibini & Tana. They are Basenjis, an uncommon African breed known for being unable to bark (but they can make noise, yodel, growl, etc). I would like to have a Beauceron one day & work him in Schutzhund & Ring Sport. I love dogs, love to write (hope to have something published one day), love to travel, love aviation, the mountains, sushi, and chocolate.
And I hate mashed peas. And, I'm not really fond of "House" either.
Mi piacerebbe conoscere: A Beauceron who'd like to be mine!
A beet farmer. I have never met a beet farmer.
As famous people go, Tom Waits, Billy Joel and the Dropkick Murphys.
I'm in a relationship so am not here to "hook up" but am always down for talking to cool people.
Thanks! I figured you'd like the band since your music player rocks! I hope we can come do a show nearby too. I'll definitely keep you posted as to when we come by Vermillion!
