| General | ANNUAL SWING OUT ROCKFORD EVENT:
Each year Forest City has a tradition of bringing in a famous swing band for an evening of live
music, fun and dance. People of all ages come to this event and have a great time. In the past
years we hosted the famous "Rhythm Rockets" from Chicago. In addition, Forest City Swing has
made a commitment to give back to the community. One of the ways we do this is by donating the
proceeds of the band event to a charity. If you would like to volunteer to help make our band
event a success please look in the volunteer link in the menu bar. To date we have donated over
$12,000.00 to Charity since 2003!

About me:
Forest City Swing is a Christian non-profit organization focused on the community to
provide fun and family- oriented entertainment. We invite anyone who would like to
learn to swing dance to our Thursday night events. People of all ages are welcome.
Admission to $3.00 at the door.
All the admission goes toward paying the building rental, swing parties, our annual Swing
Out Rockford event. At each Swing Out Rockford event we donate the net proceeds and
money collected on Thursday nights to Charities in the community.
And if you have been coming and enjoying Forest City Swing, tell others about it and
invite them! Most of the people who come to swing dancing found out about it
by word of mouth. So tell everyone you know about it and bring them on
Thursdays.
