About me: Forest Dance Academy, located in Forest, Virginia offers prestigious dance education designed to develop the joy of movement, the benefits of discipline and focus, and the opportunity to experience various dance styles from a vast array of professionally trained teachers.
Our programs include a structured program for Tiny Tots, Creative Movement, Tumble Bugs, Kinderdance, Primary, Mini Jazz and Mini Acro for our younger dancers. Ballet, Pointe, Tap, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Modern, Hip Hop, Musical Theatre and Acro are offered for elementary through advanced levels. Classes are also offered for adults as well as recreational through pre-professional level dancers.
FDA is the home to the national award winning Performance Company. We have a qualified professional staff headed up by Karen Palmer and Michelle Thomas, owners of Forest Dance Academy.

Hey! Had to take a second to say ‘THANKS’! Having so many wonderful dancers, teachers, and parents in my life is truly a blessing. You may never know how thankful I really am.
I also have to say ‘thanks’ because the NYCDA season is off to a tremendous start – best ever. It’s great to reconnect with everyone, and also great to welcome new people into the NYCDA family. Our family keeps growing! So far it’s pretty unanimous that the new schedule and extra faculty has made each weekend even more FUN!
You should know that our Boston weekend is completely SOLD OUT – biggest convention EVER! So sorry if you’re missing it….. going to be pretty incredible. Boston is the first time Jaimie and Sabra will be joining us – from the SYTYCD Tour to the NYCDA Tour – yay! And yes…. the rumors are true…. Dusty is flying from London to join us in Nashville.
I hope everybody has a GREAT Thanksgiving! It’s important to take a second and recognize the blessings in your life. You’re definitely on my list! ☺ ~~~ Joe

I just wanted to let the FDA community know that through all of there hard work and tears they pulled out of me it was very worth it....I am one of the new members of the FSU Seminole Dance Force!!! Thank you for everything you have done for me and for everyone who dances there know that their methods work and there is a reason for the madness
Well i am in Tallahassee now and i miss all of you all like crazy.....i hope auditions went well today and you all will have to keep me posted about how competition is going and wen you are going to competitions and conventions...Good Luck this year and i know you all will have a great time
