San Francisco Bay Area troubadour and award winning songwriter, Forest Sun has regaled audiences around the globe from festivals to living rooms and back yards with his wealth of songs and stories, all sung and told with back porch ease and bonhomie.
Collaborations on his many records include the likes of such musical luminaries as Jolie Holland, Sean Hayes, ALO, and Hot Buttered Rum. Forest is also the founder of Painted Sun Records, home to Sun’s own six records, so far, as well as Minneapolis songwriter Alex Goldfarb’s Magnifying Glass (which Sun produced), and Songs for Laura Vol 1 and 2, a benefit compilation cd to raise funds and awareness for people with cancer and their families.

Thanks for the Friendship Add Forest!! I heard your music on myspace to answer your question. I hope you enjoyed some of our music too. The picture is me and my sons playing at a festival. Steve
so, when are you coming to Colorado? can't wait to see you live!
maybe the tiny little Gold Hill Inn in Gold Hill would be a fun place for you to play, as well as around Boulder. Try the pearl street pub, Danny will like you!
hey! yeah, no problem! i liked your music! Pandora.com is a neat lil' bugger. that's where I'm learning about a bunch of new bands i like. that's where i stumbled upon your music. im actually living in the waco, tx area. there's this lil' coffee shop called common grounds that artists like bethany dillon, vota, carter hulsey, shawn mcdonald, mmmm lemme think....sanctus real, and just a bunch of bands come play at all of the time. that would be a great venue if you're ever coming to waco. keep up the sweet tunes!
Thanks again for adding me. After hearing you rhyme prepositions and positions, I have a feeling you'd appreciate "Killing Time in Tokyonesia" on my page. I'm hoping to release my first CD later this year. Keep up the good work and take care always.
Thank yous all around from the north country mountains =) I was sitting on my back porch when I heard something on Pandora that made me move like the wind, and subsequently wrote it down but found it difficult to find again... stoked to hear these sweet melodies again brother! Let me know if you ever come to Seattle, I see that Oregon is the closest you come this time around. Nevertheless, appreciation to ya and keep up the rocking! All good things are wild and free...
