Playing Music for all of the "Vinyl Heads" that support us and for those who want to be entertained! As a band, we strive to maintain a very high energy, no holds barred show at every event. We also take pride in keeping the dancers on the dance floor and keeping them drinking! That makes everyone happy.... the dancers, the band, and the bartenders! About me:
Forever Vinyl is an Energetic Rock Cover Band and one of the best in California. We play the best Classic and Modern Rock Covers. Co-founded by Shawn Blakely and Kevin Odom in January 2007. Shawn is a guitarist/vocalist and has a 2-year degree in music from Ventura college and has been in several bands from 1999-2005. Shawn markets the band and is known for his stage energy and is the primary musical arranger. Kevin is the bassist and vocalist. He has a history of leading and performing in barbershop quartets and has a genuine love for singing and entertaining. He's the diplomat in the band and keeps the other members from going crazy. James Avgeris joined the band in August 2007. Adding James on lead guitar and vocals was the turning point for Forever Vinyl. Not only does James have 30 years experience playing guitar, he has toured all over the US and abroad in the 1990's. His lead guitar work is nothing short of outstanding. James created and maintains the bands website - www.forevervinylband.com. FV is currently looking for a drummer who isn't money hungry. Forever Vinyl is available either electrically (with drums) or acoustically. We are available for private parties, Festivals, weddings, bars/clubs, restaurants, corporate parties, and all other special events. How’s it going? I’m playing a show in Santa Clarita at the American Legion Hall Friday, July 25th and I’d love it if you and your friends could come out! I’ll be playing with a full band and will be showcasing some new songs. There are some amazing acts that I’m playing with including Sam Fleischer, The A-B Theory, Timothy Bayona, Legion, Danny Bengston, and AuroarA. It’s gonna be an awesome night. That was one helluva show last night at the Bull Pen, FV! A blast of rockin good fun was had all around. Great job by all and I hope I held myself worthy of at least one more night in the drumseat of the Forever Vinyl Engine Room.
Now, I think I've finally unfolded myself from the contorted knot I had to make myself do to fit on that, the world' tiniest stage. I had no idea my arms could bend in those directions to reach the floor tom. :)
