Born in a rustic apartment during the fall of 2005, Forget Paris is a four-piece rock band hailing from Naugatuck, Connecticut. Mixing different elements of pop and alternative genres, this quartet lets the music do the talking. They pride themselves on a precise, energetic live show where crowd participation is imperative. Since their inception, the band has played countless self-booked shows, inked a deal with Rockwall Entertainment, and self-released their first EP entitled, "Spanish Beaches." "I thought this would be just like the rest, but after a few seconds into it I was proven wrong and pleasantly surprised. The little build up at the beginning of the first track “General Arnold, Your Autograph Please?” immediately grabbed my attention, and from there I was hooked. And it only gets catchier and catchier as the song continues. “Starstruck in Jupiter” and “Tonight’s Flight” both also have melodies that will stay in your head long after the EP ends...In an over saturated sea of joy-cam rock bands, these guys stand out from the rest. Hey Forget Paris, I absolutely LOVE your music, I heard you guys for the first time about a year ago, and fell in love with it right away. My name is Taylor Therrien, and I am from Coventry, Rhode Island. I am the founder of a committee called SAVE which stands for Students Against Vandalism Everywhere, but we do not just focus solely on vandalism, we do all community problems. Last year I planned, ran and held a "SAVE" the date rock concert to raise some money for the committee so we could purchase paint, GIS program, anonomous email account for advice, posters, and to send 25 of our 168 students to an international youth crime watch of america conference which was held in Orlando Florida. The concert was such a boost for the committee, I decided to make it an annual concert. I have Viana Newton a talented Coventry High School students performing solo. Gill Met The Pirate, an up and comming Coventry band made up of high schoolers. Sleep City, another Coventry high schooler band. Sparks Will Fly, a band that has recently been signed and touring and I was wondering if you had any interest in performing at my concert. I've had requests for your band to perform, and having heard youre music I thought it would be perfect. The Concert is going to be held at Coventry High School, on Friday January 8th, the concert starts around 6. Please let me know as soon as possible if you would like to join the concert! There is currently a search for two types of bands for record label consideration.
*** Note: PLEASE IDENTIFY IF YOU ARE IN GROUP 1 OR 2 IN THE SUBJECT LINE OF YOUR RESPONSE. Emails are being reviewed by different representatives.
1. A Pop/Rock/Commercial band with female lead. Band must consist of 2 guitars (Prefer both guitar players to be of lead caliber. However, one lead and one rhythm is acceptable), keyboard/piano, bass, and drums. Lead vocal, followed by backing vocals, in that order, is a plus as it relates to other members of the group. Average age of the band cannot exceed 28 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
2. A Modern Rock band with male lead. Must be a complete band but there are no prerequisites as it relates to the make up of the band. Average age of the band cannot exceed 23 years of age.
* Group must have an outstanding lead vocalist. ** Musicianship throughout the entire band must be very strong. *** Group cannot currently be under any contract of any type that is related to the music industry.
