About For Glory and Empire

For Glory and Empire is a progressive metal band based out of Fort Wayne, Indiana. After writing an album worth of material, guitarist Thomas Miller hooked up with bassist Ryan Black, vocalist Ari Oh, and, after months of auditions, drummer Jake Howard. The quartet was born and with an aggressive yet melodic sound, it wasn’t long before the band started playing shows around the Fort Wayne area and put out their first demo, To Take Arms. Unfortunately, For Glory and Empire was forced to take a break when Thomas moved to Bloomington to attend IU and Ari moved across the country to attend USC in Los Angeles, California. Despite this, they worked hard over breaks releasing their second demo entitled C-C-C-Combo Breaker! and playing shows when they could. In April of 2009, they were named the Earn It Yourself & Ernie Ball Band of the Month. In May of 2009, they were handpicked by the founders of Earn It Yourself to play Vans Warped Tour’s Kevin Says Stage in Indianapolis, IN, on July 7, 2009. Now that college is out, the band is working as hard as ever booking great shows and earning fans.

I noticed a need in the world pertaining to Same Sex Domestic Violence. It happens more than people know. Unfortunately there are a number of gay people who barely consider themselves worthy or valued as a gay person much less a Domestic Violence Victim. There are also very limited resources, statistics, or information, for Same Sex Domestic Violence. Hopefully through empowerment and education we can change some of this. :D ~ Dee ~
