ANYTHING AND EVERYTHING
For Love of Ivy is a solo project started in 2006 by award winning guitarist Beau Osland (age 18). This Denver based band integrates a profound understanding and respect for music with an explosive sound and a youthful exuberance. Their music features striking melodies, intense instrumental build-ups, and incredible energy and emotion. While the members of For Love of Ivy consider bands such as Radiohead, Coldplay, and Nirvana among their many influences, they have always stayed true to themselves, working to create their own exciting music and identity. All songs are written and recorded by Beau Osland.
For Love of Ivy has extensive performance experience appearing at numerous festivals and venues in the greater Denver area, including the Ogden Theatre, Bluebird Theater, Hi-Dive, the Oriental Theater, Aggie Theatre, Cervantes, and more, including recent headlining shows at the Marquis Theater and the Falcon Theater. They have also begun touring regionally, opening for national acts Amber Pacific and Monty Are I. For Love of Ivy has shared the stage with acts such as Paramore, The Offspring, The Classic Crime, and Tickle Me Pink.
In June of 2008, For Love of Ivy was voted as one of the top five local bands through an objective and blind music survey, earning them a spot to play at Channel 93.3’s Big Gig on July 26 at Fiddler’s Green (formerly Coors Amphitheatre).
Six of For Love of Ivy’s songs are featured in the upcoming horror movie “Text” (release date TBD). Members of the band appear as the high school band, “Players of Destruction”, in the movie. Frontman Beau Osland, who also has a speaking role, will additionally receive a composer credit for two original songs he created for the sound score.

Accomplishments/Awards:
Beau was the guitarist for the "Best High School Blues/Pop/Rock Group" in the country in 2006 awarded by Downbeat Magazine. During that time, he played a sold out show at B.B King’s in Memphis. For Love of Ivy has won numerous battles in Denver and Colorado Springs, CO.
