Growing up in East Texas (White Oak) with music in the house and music in the family meant only one thing. I started playing at the guitar when I was young, but didn't get excited about it until high school. Playing trombone was filling some of my musical desire, but I wanted more. So, I bought my first 6 string, took some lessons (Pollard's Sound World - Longview, TX - John Pollard) and away I went. Playing guitar in the high school lab band (partially sponsored by the school), opened up the world to what the world of guitar was all about. After 2 years playing at Kilgore College Band (concert/marching - trombone and stage band - guitar), I moved to Nacogdoches while attending SFASU. I switched to bass and never looked back. After several rock bands (Mass Confusion, Strike Zone, etc) and 4 years and a degree, it was off to Dallas spending time with a couple of bands (The Usual, and others not notable).
