Forsaken was born in the summer of 1999 when Shawn (guitar) and Franc (bass) started looking for other musicians for a new project. Many Musicians have come and gone through the years, but have definitely left their mark with the band. In 2002, Forsaken really started thrashing with the addition of Keith (vocals). With his vocals and the fullness of the bands dual guitar attack, Forsaken started to come into it's own. Tom joined on guitar and Rick on the drums in 2007, and Franc returned on Bass in 2008. Forsaken has recorded a 3 song demo in 2003 and 2007, now is in the process of finishing up their first full-length CD. They have opened up for nationals locally including Lamb of God, Fear Factory, Machine Head, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Strapping Young Lad, Dark Tranquility, Hypocrisy, Mnemic, Super Joint Ritual, Opeth, Devildriver, Children of Bodom, Darkane, Throwdown, Overkill, Moonspell, Slithryn, Sanctity and others.

My band Downfall is trying to organize a benefit concert to aid our vocalist, Alison, whose Mother is terminally ill with cancer. We are trying to raise enough money to get Alison’s son to England to see his Grandmother one last time. If we are able to raise more than enough money, then we will be donating the remaining money to a family also stricken with cancer. We are calling this event Cancer Sucks! We are looking for 4 or 5 bands that would be interested in playing this show with us, hopefully sometime in August. We are also looking for a venue in the Detroit area that would host this event for us.
