Everyone needs to check out all the boys from Bristol because they all bringing something different, pushing different sound from anyone else:
- There's Pinch of Tectonic fame, a don on the decks and a genius in the studio. A nice guy and genuinely one of my top producers in the scene.
- Joker. If you don't know about Joker, you've been dumb and still are. Biggest and most unique Grime producer out there bar none. Got his own label for Bristol grime/dubstep heads, Kapsize. It will be massive, truss. All he needs to do now is get a bit better at Pro Evo.
- ThinKing, big selector, like Pinch, man is responsible for the dubstep scene in Bristol, bringing the sound to soo many new ears with his top draw mix sets. Also rune the Reduction Records label, which will one day hopefully see more of.
- Peverelist, one of the most forward thinking producers and label owners the dubstep scene has. I can't speak of him highly enough. Punch Drunk records is the lick, serious. Honoured to be released on it.
- H.E.N.C.H, big boys on the scene, collective including Headhunter (on Tempa), Wedge, WhiteBoi & Komonazmuk (also on Tempa) and Jakes.
- Appleblim is pushing some real dub dubstep with his partner Shackleton and label Skull Disco and his new imprint Apple Pips.
- Deim, a good mate of mine, produced the flipside of my tune on the Immerse 'Substratum EP', an absolutely banger called 'Sitar Dub'.
- Gatekeeper is making some quality tunes of late, already done Tomb with Appleblim (Skull Disco), a big tune and then followed with the anthem 'Let Go' on Punch Drunk.
- Atki2 (one half of Monkey Steak - who also make absolutely big riddims) is an absolute don in my opinion, he has a style just absolutely unique and incredible production values. His stuff always has mad riddim and quality production and he is just a really really nice guy!
- Kidkut, badderman dj and runs the Immerse Records label. Put out 3 of my tunes on a label that has established itself as one of the best label for the dubstep/techno/broken axis.
- Blazey is one of, if not the, most hype dj in Bristol. Mashing up Bassline, Grime and Dubstep like noone else can. And I swear down, noone pulls a rewind like him either.
- Hyetal is one of the new names rapidly gaining much deserved attention. A superb ear for melodies and keen sense of rhythm I have been really vibing on the last beats from him. One to watch in the near future for sure!
- Sureskank crew, Neek, Batman, Superisk, B-Lam and god knows who else. All great guys, who hold great parties. If you get the chance you must pass through a Sueskank. vibes garaunteed!
- Rooted Records, the mecca for Bristol dubstep. Anyone and everyone in the scene passes through here on the regular (or at least when they got cash!) with Chris, Tom and Pedro, providing the very best selection in the South West, www.rootedrecords.co.uk
Woooo, I think that's everyone, more will be added over time I guess and all these people are added as friends if you want to check their myspace out.
Bristol baby, I love it.

Trust me it's big, all the top Bristol producers, all personal friends, if you just want to get that regardless of the t/l:
I am very lucky to have proper music heads into the stuff I am making here's a list of quotes I stroke my ego with:
Gilles Peterson played Sagrada feat. Ben Blackmore on his Radio 1 show saying,
"Right now, always good to discover new adventurous 2007 music... very interesting music."
http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio1/gillespeterson Blat!!
Mary Anne Hobbs played Boat Noodles on her show saying,
"So evocative, it captures the feeling of Shanghai at night"
and some other very nice things, thank you Miss Hobbs!

Martin Blackdown, dubstep/grime journalist and producer extroadinaire, said in his Pitchfork article,
"Speaking of Bristol, one of the most head-turning productions in dubstep has come out of the city, from Forsaken. The track in question, "Last Saloon Swagger" stands out not because it's melodic and not over-dark, nor because it features a guitarist Ben Blackmore and co-production by local grime genius Joker. It stands out because it features a spaghetti western piano roll solo and a breakdown that a chicken wanders through. Laughing in the face of soulless gnarly tech-tunes and wobble-clones, it's a maverick move that the fact that as it divides listeners only goes to prove it's pushing boundaries. It's light, El-B-esque woodblock snares tickle the ear, EQed without the need to slap the dancefloor in the face, funky like some strange Timbaland/Clint Eastwood hybrid. If the influx of new fans into dubstep circa 2006 has pushed back the boundaries of the scene, bringing it into contact with new influences far from its roots, risks like “Last Saloon Swagger” will be taken. If Distance can encompass heavy metal and Vex'd can vibe off avant classical, then bring on the spaghetti western."
AND!! In his end of year round up I got this mention:
"Forsaken continued to avoid dubstep orthodoxy-- to his credit-- with his at-times maverick approach rewarding him with a release on Punch Drunk."
