After three-and-a-half years of composing, arranging and rehearsing, the Utrecht-based Forsophie delivers her debut: a touching story about love, happiness and meaning. Musically influenced by Muse, Radiohead, Mono and Sigur Ros, this young quartet finds its warm and honest sound in higher atmospheres, moving melodies and intense bombastique. From 2010 onwards, Forsophie will play on national and European stages. The album will be released as a stream, download and on CD in February. .... Biografie in het Nederlands: .... Sophie. Ontwaakt uit haar droom. Er heerste vrede, alles was zo simpel, zo logisch. Ze ontwaakt. Ze leert de wereld kennen. Alles wat zij als echt zag blijkt een illusie. Haar werkelijkheid verandert van een mooie, simplistische omgeving in angst, chaos en wanhoop en gaat verloren in de tijd. Ze wordt wakker in een droom, een nachtmerrie. Maar met de tijd leert ze om te gaan met tegenvallende verwachtingen, alvorens zij in rust opgaat in de natuur. Sophie is de personificatie van de zoektocht naar wijsheid. De zoektocht naar Sophie. .... Na drieëneenhalf jaar componeren, arrangeren en repeteren, komt het Utrechtse Forsophie met haar debuut: een ontroerend verhaal over liefde, geluk en zingeving. Muzikaal beïnvloed door Muse, Radiohead, Mono en Sigur Ros, vindt het jonge viertal haar warme, eerlijke geluid in zwevende sferen, slepende melodieen en intense bombastique. Vanaf 2010 is Forsophie te zien op de nationale en Europese podia. Het album is vanaf februari uit op CD, maar uiteraard hier eerst te beluisteren en te downloaden..... .. .. .. .. .. .. ..
