~If you CAN'T make the show, the next show you play is for FREE
~You MUST promote YOURSELF & THE COURTYARD
~You MUST stick around until the end to get paid
~There is NO GUEST LIST
~You MUST return what you borrow
~NO talking shit about the venue, bands, management, or forsythe family
~TRY not to get TOO drunk
~NO ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES

Hey everyone, thanks for checking out Forsythe, and contibuting to our cause of helping out our local artists! The whole reason Forsythe exists is to back and empower the underdog musician, to instill confidence, and to give a level of support that is just unheard of for beginning and established local artists.
Everyone needs a place to start, and we hope to be a strong foundation for many local artists. That's what the Courtyard is all about! So here's the lowdown. This whole thing is run by Richard and Chad, Contact us recpectively at (850)293-3464, or (850)287-5629. Better yet, just email us here! We talk to everybody, accept all types of music and other acts(comedians, theatre troupes, etc.) and are probably the most supportive and least money hungry venue you'll come across.
Most shows will consist of three bands per night, there may be special exceptions. We have a P.A., so don't worry! We have lights, a stage, security, all kinds of stuff, and we're improving all the time. We will try to videotape at least two songs from EVERY band who plays here to publish to the web and try to increase your exposure! We'll be putting up pics and soundbites as well, and if you have banners we will try to get those posted also. You support us, we support you.
We are an OUTDOOR venue, so know that we can't control everything! If it rains, the show is most likely cancelled, sorry! Also most shows start at seven and end around ten to avoid breaking sound ordinance. Its a great place to play, with a lot less bullshit than other venues here in town. The more you promote and get people to your show, the more you get paid, it's that simple. We split between us and the bands, no hidden charges, no bullshit. We also offer promotional packages for both bands and VENDORS or ANY PERSON or LOCAL BUSINESS who wants to advertise with us at shows, over the web, and on thousands of flyers, talk to us for details.
