FOR THE HUTCH is Mark Intentionally (vocals/guitar), Johnny Rumbles (drums), Joey Balls (lead guitar), and Brock (bass) – four suburban dudes from Westchester County, New York who play rock’n’roll music inspired by sci-fi, pocketprotectors, black rimmed glasses, and being bad at sex.
The boys got together when they responded to an ad on the wall of Famous Anthony’s Pizza in the Bronx back in late 2005. This ad was looking for volunteers to be transformed into exact human replicas of Rip Taylor. The experiment failed, but as a bizarre side effect the four guys ended up as semi-professional musicians addicted to bubblewrap.
They have a CD called “Demo: the album” (self-released 2008). It’s a collection of twelve songs featuring an extended roster of Hutch-approved musicians. Mark’s grandmother called the tunes the most beautiful music she has ever heard, which was nice of her. She also has the album artwork on display next to pictures of her relatives.
