Matt Samuels featuring For The Masses: ENJOY THE SILENCE
RELEASE DATE: November 10th (Beatport Exclusive from October 15th)
CAT NO: TOOL049
One of our most talented young ‘Leaders Of The New School’ producers, Toolroom golden boy Matt Samuels finally touches down with his stunning, long-awaited tribute to the seminal 1990 Depeche Mode classic “Enjoy The Silence”!
Entirely re-sung by the enigmatic ‘For The Masses’, this powerful re-interpretation of one of the band’s best-known singles is ready to do some serious damage on 2008’s dancefloors. Matt’s Original Club Mix is an anthemic tour-de-force of rolling beats and a thick, beefed-up bassline riding under the famous vocal; a perfectly re-touched new version of his electrifying 2007 remix that was played worldwide by Sander Kleinenberg, James Zabiela, Dave Dresden, Steve Lawler and many others, with big support on BBC Radio 1 from the always-influential Pete Tong.
Remixes come from Hungarian hotshot Workidz, Danish hero Noir & Toolroom’s own Pete Griffiths who each remodel the track to create three dazzlingly diverse remixes! The Workidz follows up his monster hit “Work It” and last years’ Toolroom smash “Washmachine” with a thundering, thrilling re-rub in his inimitable style, dropping down into a truly spine-tingling break that raises every hand in the air with those emotive stabs and stirring vocal! Noir takes to the stage with a storming teched-out remix that grabs every last wallflower by the scruff of the neck and summons all the party faithful to the dancefloor, an irresistible punchy retouch! Finally Label Manager Pete Griffiths sees his debut on Toolroom with a superb uplifting rework that flawlessly rounds off this package. An unmissable release!!
