   About 48 Cameras
"You perhaps read or heard somewhere that we decided to drop here & there 23 copies of our ninth album, "Before me lay some more drak waters", in various cities and various countries. A sticker just asks the person who found or who will find his copy to make the best possible use of it. A listing of this kind of deposits is already available and will regularly be will updated on www.48cameras.com (cf. "discographie & chroniques"). These copies are accompagnied by a signed & numbered poladroïd of the arkwork, a painting by laurent maginelle. NB : we now decided to offer a free copy of this digipack to the next 23 visitors who will contact us via our official website www.48cameras.com That's all. no trick, no tour, etc. Nb : a signed & dated poladroïd of the 48C's logo will come with each of these 23 copies. Just a few conditions : . you will have to support the postal cost + the cost of the envelope (no more) . you will have to use paypal, adding a small amount of 1 Euro or the equivalent in your currency . you will have to accept the fact that your name & your hometown will be quoted on our website."

If you ever are interested, just send us first a few lines we & will precise you the paypal process (cf. communication, postal costs, etc.).

48 Cameras are known as an international & musical project of variable geometry (Belgium, Monaco & United Kingdom for now). Some of its members never met the others. During the past years, this co-operative of musicians & non musicians recorded 9 official albums & welcomed guests - mostly via Internet - coming from various countries, cultures & disciplines, guests as Rodolphe Burger, Sandy Dillon, DJ Olive, Michael Gira, Tom Heasley, Gerard Malanga, Charlemagne Palestine, Vesica Piscis, etc. This methodology has led to a kind of domino theory effect creating an ever increasing network of contributors & an ever evolving series of musical accidents. Some of its members also appeared on various side-projects. Thus, David Coulter & Jean Marie Mathoul recorded an album with Charlemagne Palestine & another one with Charlemagne Palestine & Michael Gira. Check "pics" to have access to an illustrated discography.

Please note that the complete titles of these 10 songs (free downloads), taken from "After all, isn't tango the dance of the drunk man?" (2006), are : "This river may spring to life again", "All stories are love stories are short stories", "Try to remember a similar day", "Untitled for now 3", "Nine independent doors open to Selmer Close", "Tableau respire", "Between the mist & the sky", "Cross at zebra", "Terence Stamp for a time" & "Our lady of sins (Vesica Piscis remix reconsidered by 48C (bonus track)".

Oh, please also note that we do not want "comments" or so but feel free to contact us via our website or via "MySpace / My Mail". As for the "adds", we choose to privilege close friends, collaborators, personal heroes, stateless artists, "starving angels" & some "beautiful & moody walkers" met "here, there & everywhere" by accident on MySpace.

"Our music could be a music written in a foreign language that we would not intend to completely manage"

PLEASE NOTE THAT MOST OF OUR ALBUMS ARE STILL AVAILABLE VIA PAYPAL ON OUR WEBSITE : www.48cmeras.com

We are currently recording a ninth album with guests as Martyn Bates, Mark Beazley, Matt Shaw, a.o. Thank you !
