"Let us fix our eyes upon Jesus and we shall be with him for years to come"
We are a Rock/Hardcore/Alternative/Indie band based out of Cincinnati, OH. Our primary purpose is to be a light to the world as Jesus Christ himself has called us to be. Hopefully people will see something different in the way we live, play our music, write our lyrics and begin to ask questions about our Lord.
In 2001, Tyler and Cory formed "Staring Contest." After playing several shows, Chris H. was added to the mix and the music transformed into a hybrid of punk and rapcore. Along with the addition of Chris, the band soon saw their name change to "Right Hand Man." Playing shows constantly, they quickly garnered a loyal fan base.
Seeking a heavier direction, it was decided a second guitarist may be beneficial. In April of 2005, "Jamaican" Chris was added to the lineup. Now with a vocalist, bassist, and 2 guitarists, Right Hand Man began writing new material. It was soon evident that there was a significant shift in sound, and a name change was duly in order. Practicing and writing without a name, they auditioned a small handful of drummers. The finishing piece was joined to the band during the final weeks of May in the form of Caleb Magness. Shortly after, the moniker "For Years to Come" was decided upon.
Since their inception, the band has developed a sizable local following, released a 5 track EP, written more new material, and continued to play shows constantly. Keep it locked here for the latest...
