Biography------This band started out as an offshoot of Antioch, CA's First Family Church worship band. The original band was called Cross Fyre, consisting of Jack, Gary, Mike, John Riley on guitar, and Ken Shepis on bass and vocals. When Ken left California, we brought in Jim to take over Bass and vocal duties. Gary and Jim had played together in a folk rock group known as Coconut Monkey. After John left the band, we changed our name to Four Bits. Most of our material is written by Gary with everyone given an amount of artistic freedom to give it that unique Four Bits sound. We have played at several Celebrate Recovery events in Oroville, CA and Antioch as well as at The Well in Brentwood, CA among other places. We are a group of committed Christians with well over 120 years of combined musical experience, desiring to skillfully play seriously good music, without taking ourselves too awefully seriously. Man the royalty comment made me laugh. That was funny. We are going to see Steve Green tonight in Hudsonville. Not my fav. we were asked to go with a church couple. Something to do I guess.
