Designers Christa Thorburn and Sarah Reilly started ‘four calling birds’ in early march just after completing their final year of school in 2006, Both Sarah and Christa are striving to succeed in successfully enrolling in the advanced diploma in fashion design at Ultimo TAFE Sydney. At just 18 years of age the girls have put together a label that has become extremely successful in just a few months; with there garments stocked in a small store in Cronulla the girls aim to expand the label in the future. Four Calling Birds slogans are inspired by personal incidences between the two best friends, each slogan reflects against a situation that the girls have encountered which makes them very personal and very obscure yet different towards everybody who admires the tee’s/dresses. The dresses are inspired by there own creativity and vintage type pieces. Mixin’ the old with the new baby.
