The Four Corners Folk Festival started in 1996. Over the years it has featured talented musicians including Tim O'Brien, Bela Fleck & the Flecktones, Gillian Welch & David Rawlings, Natalie McMaster, Darrell Scott, Sam Bush, John Cowan, Jerry Douglas, Maura O'Connell, Darol Anger, The Del McCoury Band, Delbert McClinton, Mike Marshall, Nickel Creek, the Alison Brown Quartet, Peter Rowan, John Hartford, Jonatha Brooke, Matt Flinner, Tony Furtado, David Grier, The Waifs, Eddie From Ohio, The Bills, Eileen Ivers, Ruthie Foster, and many more too numerous to list.
The festival takes place over Labor Day Weekend in Pagosa Springs, Colorado in Reservoir Hill Park located downtown. The park boasts 130 acres of treed camping, plus 8 miles of hiking & biking trails overlooking the San Juan Mountain of Southwestern Colorado. Just below Reservoir Hill are the world famous Pagosa Hot Springs plus quality trout fishing on the San Juan River right in town.
The "Bestival" (as it is fondly referred to by long-time patrons) is family-friendly, with a free kids program and free admission for children 12 & under. In addition, some 24+ workshops are scheduled throughout the weekend for aspiring musicians of all ability levels -- everything from flatpicking techniques to vocal harmonies and CD production.
Music lovers come from all over the country and even as far away as Europe for the opportunity to enjoy a high caliber of musical performances in this remarkably beautiful setting. We hope you'll join us!
